2024/25 Jumps Profile - State Man

7 y ch g Doctor Dino – Arret Station   (Peej, Neil)

High class hurdler . He made his debut at Auteuil in May 2020, finishing 2nd in a 1m 7f, conditions hurdle for unraced colts and geldings over obstacles, finishing 2l 2nd to Bussleton. He then moved to Willie Mullins and made his Irish debut at Leopardstown in December 2021 , where he fell 2 out when having every chance in a 2m maiden hurdle. In February this year he won a 2m maiden hurdle at Limerick by 12 l from Plains Indian (received 4lb), then in March at Cheltenham won a grade 3 2m 1f handicap hurdle by 1 ¼ l from First Street (gave 1 lb), and finished the season with victory at Punchestown in April, taking the 2m 3f grade 1 Champion novice hurdle by 7l from Flame Bearer. 

He reappeared at Punchestown in November,  2022, winning th2m grade 1 Morgiana hurdle by 4l from Sharjah, then followed up at Leopardstown, winning the 2m grade 1  Matheson hurdle by 4 ¼ l from Vauban. In February at Leopardstown he won the 2m grade 1 Irish Champion hurdle by 4 ¼ l from Honeysuckle (received 7lb), then at Cheltenham in March was 9l 2nd to Constitution Hill in the 2m grade 1 Champion Hurdle. He finished the season with victory at Punchestown in the 2m grade 1 Champion hurdle beating Vauban 3l .

He reappeared at Punchestown last November, winning the 2m grade 1 Mogiana hurdle by 5l from Echoes In Rain, then followed up at Leopardstown in December, winning the 2m grade 1 Matheson hurdle by ¾ l from Impaire Et Passe. He then won the 2m grade 1 Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstwon in February this year by 5 ½ l from Bob Olinger, then took the 2m grade 1 Champion hurdle at Cheltenham in March by 1 ¼ l from Irish Point. 

He finished the season with Victory at Punchestown in May winning he 2m grade 1 Boodles Champion hurdle by 2l from Irish Point. He will have a similar campaign, should win the Irish races again, and hopefully will have a clash with Constitution Hill in March at Cheltenham.
