A high class hurdler, who is the only horse so far to have beaten Ballyburn. He made his debut at Navan in November 2022, finishing 4h beaten 4 l behind Spirit of Legend, in 2m 4f maiden hurdle, then in December at Naas, was 2nd to Loughlynn 3/4l in a 2m flat race. In February last year at Navan he won a 2m pro/Am flat race by 10l from Mint Boy (received 7lb), then at Fairyhouse in April won a similar event by ¾ l from Il Antique.
Reappearing at Down Royal in November last year he won another 2m 1f flat race by 5 ½ l l from Quint Major (received 10 lb), In December at Fairyhouse in a 2m maiden hurdle he beat Ballyburn 2 ½ l, then in January at Naas was 4h in the 2m 4f grade 1 Lawlor’s of Naas novice hurdle, finishing 8 ¾ l behind Readin Tommy Wrong. He then wen to Cheltenham in March finishing 3rd in the 2m grade 1 Supreme novice hurdle, beaten 5l behind Slade Steel, then at Aintree in April was 2nd beaten ½ l by Mystical Power in the 2m grade 1 Top novice hurdle.
He finished the season at Punchestown, finishing 2nd in the 2m grade 1 Champion novice hurdle,, beaten 1 ¾ l by Mystical Power. He reappeared at Down Royal recently, winning a 2m 4f beginners chase by 3 ½ l from Mossy Fen Park. He should take top rank this season. He is already quoted as low as 8/1 for the Arkle in March.
