Sir Michael Stoute says it is "very possible" Ulysses will tackle next month's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly.
The four-year-old has really come into his own this season, winning both the Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte International as well as finishing second to Enable in the King George at Ascot.
The Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar on November 4 was initially nominated as Ulysses' target following his York success, but Stoute has confirmed he may now stop off in France on October 1 on the way to his American date.
He told The Punter : "The Arc is very possible and we're aiming for that at the moment.
"The Breeders' Cup is not until five weeks after the Arc, so there's plenty of time between both races."
John Gosden aims to have Jack Hobbs ready for a third shot at the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 21.
Limato is likely to defend his crown in the Prix de la Foret at Chantilly next month.
Henry Candy's five-year-old claimed his second Group One success in the seven-furlong contest last autumn, having dominated his rivals in the July Cup at Newmarket earlier in the year.
Talaayeb could return to the top table for the first time since finishing fourth in the 1000 Guineas if she is given the go-ahead for the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on October 7.
The mile Group One prize is one of two options, alongside the Challenge Stakes on October 13 over a furlong shorter, under consideration for the daughter of Dansili.

Charlie Hills told the punter that Mukakatif is likely to be put away now for next season following his win at Chester. Charlie said, he is a big horse and will be a better 3 year old. He has some smart form and it is probably job done for the season.
. Limato is a "very doubtful" runner in the 32Red Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday, trainer Henry Candy has revealed.
The five-year-old has struck twice at Group One level, having landed both the July Cup at Newmarket and the Prix de la Foret at Chantilly last season.
He has failed to add to his tally this term, but has run several fine races in defeat, including a runner-up finish behind Harry Angel when defending his July Cup crown.
Candy had hoped to bring his charge back to the track this weekend following his fourth place in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood last month, but not for the first time, his plans have been scuppered by the weather.
"It is very doubtful he'll run at Haydock. He's in good form, but I think the ground will be too soft and there's more rain forecast," said the Wantage-based trainer.
Talaayeb could go for the Group Two Park Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday week following her success at York's Ebor meeting.
Martyn Meade is ready to let Eminent take his chance in the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday, with Frankie Dettori set to take the ride. Decorated Knight, Churchill, Cliffs Of Moher, Lancaster Bomber and The Grey Gatsby also hold entries

In the Matron stakes, Persuasive, Rhododendron and Wuheida hold entries.

News
Connections of Cracksman are still keeping all options open for the progressive colt following his impressive victory in the Great Voltigeur Stakes at York last week.
The next possible race for Cracksman is the Prix Niel at Chantilly on September 10, for which there is a second entry stage on Friday, but owner Anthony Oppenheimer has played down suggestions that this will act as a stepping stone to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
Trainer John Gosden said straight after the horse's eyecatching performance on the Knavesmire that he might not even run again this year.
However, Cracksman holds entries in both the Irish (14/1) and English Champion Stakes (10/1) and the Arc (8/1), for which his stablemate Enable is hot favourite.
Oppenheimer told Thhe Punter: "I think Mr Gosden is just keeping an eye on the horse and trying to work things out.
"The horse is entered for the Arc, the Irish Champion Stakes, the English Champion Stakes and for the Prix Niel.
"If Enable is going to run in the Arc I don't think he will want to take her on. I could be wrong, but it's the same jockey (Frankie Dettori) so I don't think we'd want to change if we can help it.
Connections of Eminent have not yet decided whether to aim for the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes or the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
After finishing sixth in the 2000 Guineas, fourth in the Epsom Derby and fifth in the Coral-Eclipse, Martyn Meade's stable star got back on the winning trail with an authoritative all-the-way victory in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano at Deauville.
Meade was initially keen on a return to France for a tilt at Arc glory at Chantilly, but an appearance at Leopardstown on Saturday week has not been ruled out. Sky Bet make him 8/1 for the Irish Champion, a market currently headed by Churchill at 7/4 and Ulysses at 2/1.
Freddie Meade, assistant to his father, said: "He's in very good order and it's just which of the options we go for.
Daban will be transported back to Newmarket within the next few days as she continues her recovery from a fractured pelvis.
The John Gosden-trained three-year-old sustained the injury shortly after exiting the stalls in a Group Three at York on Friday on what was her first start since finishing sixth in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Daban will not run again this season and will be taken to the Newmarket Equine Hospital for further treatment.

Marsha remains on course to defend her crown in the Prix de l'Abbaye at Chantilly in October following her dramatic triumph in the Nunthorpe at York last Friday.
