News
Mawj, who put Saeed bin Suroor back in the big time when landing the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket this month, is to miss a rematch with runner-up Tahiyra in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh on Sunday week.
Bin Suroor will instead target Royal Ascot with the diminutive filly as he feels his new stable star needs more time between her races.

Michael Dods spoke to the Punter about plans for Azure Blue, She's not entered at Royal Ascot and Dods doesn't sound tempted to supplement her. "I've discussed it with one of the owners. Listen, if it was a wet week, we'd consider it. But we're not that bothered.

"Possibly the next race, ground permitting, could be the July Cup. It wouldn't bother me if we waited six weeks. There's a Group 3 fillies at York at around that time. I would guess it'd be one of those. If the ground was right, we'd seriously think about the Nunthorpe / Abbaye route. We'd like to see her over five before, obviously. There's so many options.

Vadeni is likely to be a star addition to the €450,000 Tattersalls Gold Cup on Sunday after Georges Rimaud, the Aga Khan's racing and breeding manager in France, confirmed the intention to supplement last season's champion three-year-old colt.

Emily Upjohn could make her seasonal reappearance in the Coronation Cup on Friday week. John Gosden told the Punter, “We’ll leave Emily Upjohn in the Coronation Cup and she worked nicely over the weekend. Obviously she was just a short head shy in the Oaks last year, she’s in good form and we’ll definitely leave her in that race.

Aidan O'Brien has trained winners at 13 British tracks, including 103 at Ascot, but Haydock is not one of them and Little Big Bear will try to tear up that statistic on Saturday when he returns to sprinting in the Betfred Nifty Fifty Sandy Lane Stakes.

Connections of White Birch are preparing to roll the dice in the Betfred Derby with their Dante runner-up and think the mile-and-a-half trip could be just what he wants. White Birch is a general 14-1 for the Epsom Classic on June 3, and assistant trainer George Murphy said: "It was a super run [at York]. We were very pleased with him. You don't get ground as quick as what it was in the Dante over here [in Ireland] too often, but he seemed to have no issue with it. He seems to be very versatile."

News
The news that ante-post favourite Inspiral will miss Saturday's Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury means the John and Thady Gosden camp are set to rely on Laurel – a ride that may fall the way of Frankie Dettori, who is seeking to equal the legendary Lester Piggott's record number of successes in the race.
A Cheveley Park Stud homebred, Inspiral had been around a 3-1 chance for the £350,000 Lockinge, which headlines ITV's coverage this weekend, but did not feature among the confirmations at Monday's forfeit stage.

Oaks hope Bluestocking will need to bloom over the next few days to make it to Epsom after connections decided she was not ready to run at York on Wednesday. The Haras De Bouquetot Fillies' Trial Stakes at Newbury on Saturday is her pre-Oaks target if she can prove her wellbeing in time.

News
Auguste Rodin remains at the forefront of Aidan O'Brien's plans for next month's Betfred Derby despite the colt's no-show in the 2,000 Guineas on Saturday. O'Brien will seek a record-extending ninth Derby win next month and on Monday he maintained a trip to Epsom is still the plan for Auguste Rodin after he failed to make an impact at Newmarket. The Ballydoyle trainer described the 2,000 Guineas as a "non-event" for Auguste Rodin and Little Big Bear, who finished 12th and 14th respectively, with the pair affected by interference in the early stages of the Classic.

James Ferguson will be on a fact-finding mission when his Derby contender Canberra Legend steps up in trip in next week's Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes at York. "The Dante will determine where we go, whether England, France or neither," said Ferguson.

The Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot are likely to form the focus of debate for Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin as to where they aim Classic heroine Mawj.

2023 Flat - One that didn't make it

This one was an early submission from Cod

Flame of Kodiac 3y bf Kodiac – Flame of Hestia

Improving filly by Cod’s favourite sire, she made her debut at Newmarket last May, finishing 6th in a 6f fillies novice stakes, beaten 9 ¼ l behind Mawj, then reappearing at Southwell this February, finished 6th again, beaten 9 ¼ l behind Odin Owns You All in a 7f maiden stakes.  She improved at Chelmsford in March, finishing 3rd in a 7f fillies novice stakes, beaten 2 ½ l by Crème De Caco, then at Wolverhampton at the end of March , won a 1m handicap by ½ l from Climate Precedent (received 1 lb). A mile looks to be her trip, and she could have a successful handicap campaign on the all weather surfaces.
Trainer John and Thady Gosden

2023 Flat Profile - Yosemite Valley

3 y bc Shamardal- That Which Is Not (Cliff)

Useful colt at 2, he made his debut at the Curragh in June last year, finishing 4th in a 6f maiden, beaten 3l by Slan Abhaile, then in July over the same course and distance, was 2nd in a group 3 , beaten 4 ¾ l behind Little Big Bear. That form suggest he is up to winning a decent race at listed level at least, and probably best at round a mile, he holds an Irish Guineas and English Derby entry.

Trainer D O’Brien

2023 Flat Profile - Yaanaas

4 y ch g Ulysses – Troarn   (Martin)

A really interesting pick this unbeaten 4 year old made his debut at Newcastle in March this year winning a 1m maiden by 1l from Flying Frontier (received 17lb), then followed up at Kempton in April, taking a 1m novice stakes by ½ l from Quantico (gave 3lb). As a 4 year old gelding it is difficult to p predict what his future holds, but he could well be listed or minor group class at least, and is probably worth following until beaten
Trainer R.Varian

2023 Flat Profile - White Birch

3 y gr c Ulyyssers – Diagnostic  (Neil)

Very smart colt and another grey, though his name is more reflective of his colour, he made his debut at Naas in November finishing 5th in a 1m maiden beaten 8 ¼ l by Sierra Blanca, then 2 weeks later won a 7f Dundalk maiden by 6 ½ l from Brasilian Princess.  He reappeared at the start of April, winning a 1m 2f group 3 at Leopardstown by ½ l from Up and Under, and as a result was thrown in to the Derby reckoning at 25/1. He is a very interesting one going forward, and will be easy to spot

Trainer J J Murphy

2023 Flat Profile - Vadeni

4 y bc Churchill- Vaderana (Cod)

Top class colt who should be a major player in the European middle distance races this season. He made his debut at  La Teste De Buch in July 2021, winning a 7f  2 year old maiden by 2l from Loubeisien, then followed up at Deauville in August, taking a 1m listed 2 year old stakes by 2l from Officer of State. In September at Chantilly, he was third in a 1m 1f 2 year old group 3, beaten 1 ¾ l behind El Bodgeon,.

He reappeared in April last year, finishing 5th in a 1m 3 year old group 3, beaten 2 ½ l behind Welwal, then in May at Chantilly, won a 1m 11f 3 year old group 3 by 2 ½ l from Machete. In June at Chantilly he won the 1m 2f group 1 Prix Du Jockey club by 5l From El Bodgeon, then in July followed up at Sandown winning the 1m 2f group 1 Eclipse stakes by a neck from Mishriff. In September at Leopardstown he was third in the 1m 2f Irish Champion stakes, beaten 1 ¾ l behind Luxembourg, and finished the season with a 2nd in the 1m 4f group 1 Prix Del Arc De Triomphe, beaten ½ l by Alpinista (gave 3lb).

7 y bg Planteur  - Shao Line  (Peej, Steve)

One record breaking feat last season is enough to warrant  a place in the hand book for this horse who has become  a fine stayer. He made his debut at Nottingham in 2018 in a 1m maiden stakes, finishing 6th, beaten 7 ¾ l behind Dubai Icon, then after a long break, reappeared at Wolverhampton in August 2019, winning a 1m 4f novice stakes by a short head from Caravan of Hope, then followed up at Ffos Las 3 weeks later in a 1m 4f novice stakes again beating Caravan of Hope ( received 7lb ) 2 ¾ l. In September in a 1m 6f handicap he finished 2nd beaten 2l by Ranch Hand (gave 3lb), then in October won a 1m 4f Newmarket handicap by 3 ¾ l from First Line (gave 7lb), and finished the season at Newbury 3 weeks later winning a 1m 5f conditions stakes by a neck from Hamish.

He reappeared at Newmarket in June 2020, finishing 4th in a 1m 4f listed stakes beaten 3 ¼ l by Dashing Willoughby, then 10 days later won a 1m 4f listed stakes at Haydock by a short head from Alignak. In August at York in a 1m 6 f handicap he finished 8th, beaten 8l by Fujaira Prince ( received 1 lb), then in September at Salisbury won a 1m 6f Conditions Stakes by 1l from Withhold. He finished the season with his first appearance at the top level in October, landing the 2m group 2 Long Distance Cup at Ascot on Champions Day by 7 ½ l from Search For A song.

He reappeared at Chester in May 2021, finishing 2nd in a 1m 5f group 3 beaten ¾ l by Japan (received 5lb), then in June a 2m Newcastle handicap was 6th beaten 3 ¾ l by Nicholas T (received 17 lb). He then went to Goodwood in July and won the 2m Group 1 Goodwood Cup by 3 ¾ l from Away He goes, then in October won the 2m 4f Group 1 Prix Du Cadran at Longchamp beating Stradivarius 4 ½ l, and 3 weeks later Ascot retained the 2m Group 2 Long Distance Cup, beating Tashkhan 1 ½ l.

He reappeared last April  at Nottingham, winning a 1m 6f listed stakes by 3l from Quickthorne ( received 7lb), then with the firm ground preventing runs on the turf he was sent to Newcastle on the Tapeta to run in the 2m Northumerland Plate handicap under the welter burden of 10 -8. Rated 120 he was officially 19 lb better than any of his rivals but just one horse since 1988 had run off a mark this high on the flat. He was still sent off 3/1 favourite and under a magnificent Holly Doyle ride won by ½ l from Spirit Mixer (received 28lb). It was the best flat handicap performance ever measured by the Racing Post since ratings were introduced in 19 88, and beat the weight carrying record in the race by 10 lb, and that was previously 9 -10 carried in 1883 by Barcaldine , and matched Karadar in 1984, Bold Gait in 1995 and Tominator in 2013. He returned to Group 1 action in the Goodwood Cup, finishing 3rd behind Kyprios beaten 1 ½ l then at Doncaster in the 2m 2f group 2 was 2nd beaten a neck by Coltrane. He finished the season by ocne again winning the 2m group 2 Long Distance Cup at Ascot reversing Doncaster form and beating Coltrane a head.

3 y gr c Dark Angel – Anna Law   (Neil)

High class 2 year old, he made his debut at Tipperary in April last year, winning a 5f maiden by ½ l from Wodao, then followed up in May at Naas taking a 5f stakes race by ¾ l from Mehar. He was then a bit disappointing at Royal Ascot when 7th, beaten 4 ¾ l behind The Ridler in the 5f group 2 Norfolk stakes, then was 5rd in a 5f listed race at Tipperary, beaten a short neck in a 3 way photo behind Wodao.

He then went to Chantilly and stepped up to 6f in a 6g group 2 finishing 2nd beaten 3l by stablemate Blackbeard, then in August won a 6f group 3 at Deauville, beating Manhattan Jungle (received 4lb), 1l. 3 weeks later he was third in the 6f Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville, beaten 2l behind by Blackbeard again. He finished the season with a 2nd in the 6f Group 1 , Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, again beaten 2l by Blackbeard.

He should win decent sprint races again this season.

Lightly raced but top class 2 year old, she made her debut at  Galway in July, winning a 7f maiden fillies stakes by 5 ½ l, then followed up at the Curragh in September, winning the 7f group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes by 2 ¼  l from Meditate.  She looks a class act and will be hard to beat in all the top fillies races.

Bred for speed I will be amazed if he goes a yard beyond 6f, he made his debut at Newmarket in July, finishing 5th, beaten 11l in a 6f novice stakes behind Noble Style. Dropped to 5f next time, he won a 5f novice stakes at Lingfield by 1 ¼ l from Harry Brown, and finished with victory at Newcastle in October winning a 5f novice stakes by a nose from Exquisitely (received 12 lb)

One of the could be anything group, she is beautifully bred and will be seen to best effect at 1 ½ miles and possibly further, she made her debut at Newcastle in April, finishing 2nd in a 1m 2f fillies maiden, beaten 1 ¼ l by stablemate Joyful Act (received 3lb), and whilst she currently holds no group 1 entries, she should be followed and could a St Leger candidate later in the year.

3 y bf Kingman – Regardez  (Bob)

Very smart filly who made her debut at Salisbury in September last year, winning a 7f novice stakes by 1 ¼ l from Bresson (gave 11lb), then in April reappeared at Newbury to win a 7f fillies group 3 by a neck from Stenton Glider. A mile is probably her trip, she is 6/1 for the English guineas, and also holds an Irish 1000 Guineas entry

3 y bf Camelot – Painters Pride (Cliff)

Smart filly who was unraced at 2,  made her debut at Chantilly on 16 February this year, winning a 1m 1f maiden for unraced fillies by 4l from Crown Princesse, then followed up at Saint – Cloud in March, winning 1m 2f fillies listed race by 7l from Olkovshka. I saw that race on TV and that is why she is in. She followed up at Saint- Cloud in April, taking a 1m 2f fillies group 3 by 2 ½ l,  and hopefully she will be a grade 1 filly by the end of the season

Another of the Grey Brigade and who falls in the could be an thing category, she made a winning debut at Newmarket in October, taking a 7f fillies novice stakes by 3 ¼ l from Reconsider Me . She doesn’t have any group 1 entries currently, but is potentially a blooming good filly

4 y bc Time  Test – Scuffle (Steve)

This one is very interesting. The fact he is still a colt, and running at 4 suggest Juddmonte think he can step up on what he has achieved so far, and that is quite useful.
Unraced at 2 he made his debut at Wolverhampton in April 2022, finishing 2nd in a 11f novice stakes, beaten 1l by Maktoob. He reappeared at Kempton in August, winning a 1m novice stakes by 4 ½ l from Moon Watch (gave 6lb), then followed up at Wolverhampton 2 weeks later, winning another 1 m novice stakes by 3 l from Dubai Immo (received 10 lb), and was last seen in September at Salisbury winning a 1m 2f handicap by 4 ¼ l from Educator (received 2 lb). He has obviously been difficult to train, but I would imagine the aim is to get a listed win at least, and hopefully a group race

3 y bc Kingman – Mirror Lake     (Cod)

As mentioned earlier, Sir Michael has only 2 Classic entries, and this colt was smart last season making a winning debut at Sandown in July, taking a 7f maiden stakes by 3l from Golden Speech, then in September at Newmarket, won a 7f group 3 by 1 ¼ l from Holloway boy, and finished the season with a 2 ¾ l 3rd at Newmarket in the 7f group 1 Dewhurst stakes, behind Chaldean. As Chaldean is also owned by Juddmonte it will be interesting to see how the 2 are campaigned. Where ever this colt goes, he will certainly win more races, and he has English and Irish 2000 guineas entries. Having picked up a minor injury, he will now miss the Guineas

I think Bob has had a visit from the little green men from Across the water, as he has another Irish 2 year old here, this one made a winning debut at Cork in April, also beating Sturlasson, by 3 ¾ l. A mile would be his maximum in time, but he should also end up in some smart 2 year old events, and probably at Royal Ascot.

High class, unbeaten 2 year old colt he made his debut at Ascot in May winning a 5f Novice Stakes by 1 ¾ l from Walbank, then followed up at Newmarket in July, winning a 6f novice stakes by ½ l from Mill Stream , and finished the season with victory at York in August, taking the 6f group 2 Gimcrack stakes by 1 1/4l from Marshman. He should make up in to a top class miler this season.

He reappeared at Newcastle in April, taking another 1`m novice stakes by 3 ½ l from Sidney’s Son (received 7lb), and looks capable of being a decent handicapper, possibly on the all weather tracks.

3 y chf Churchill – Bright Snow   (Cod)

The Cod dick pick, it is to be hoped she eventually shows as much class as the lady Cod has Picked her about. However the signs are not great currently, she made her debut at Cork last June, finishing 7th in a 6f fillies maiden, beaten 11 ¾ l behind Badb, then at Leopardstown in July was 6th, in a 7f fillies maiden, 5 ¾ l behind Thornbrook. She then was 5th at Naas in September, beaten 6 ¼ l by Sprit Gal in a 6f fillies maiden, then was 6th at Dundalk in October beaten 6l by Skip James (gave 1lb), in a 7f nursery handicap. In December at Dundalk in a 1m nursery handicap she was 10th, beaten 7 ½ l by Shangrilama, and last time out at Cork in April she was 12 th in a 1m 2f handicap, beaten 9 ½ l by Matt Connor (gave 6lb). Cod’s dream lives on with both

3 y bvc No Nay Never – Adventure Seeker  (Cliff, Neil, Steve)

The 2 year old star of last season,  he made his debut at the Curragh in April last year, finishing 2nd in a 6f maiden, beaten a short head by Tough Talk. He then won a 5f maiden at Nass by 3l in May, beating Alexis Zorba, and then in June stepped up in class to win the 5f Windsor Castle listed stakes at Royal Ascot by a neck from Rocket Rodney. Stepped up in trip to 6f at the Curragh in July he won a group 3 by 4 ¾ l from Yosemite Valley, and finished the season in style by winning the 6f group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh by an eye catching 7l from Persian Force. He missed the rest of the season with a foot injury.
He has an English (9/2 ) and Irish 2000 guineas entry, and that is probably his limit, and he may be best over sprint distances. What ever route he takes, he is an exciting prospect.

3y ch c Farhh – Last Tango Inparis  (Peej)

Useful colt on the upgrade, he made his debut at Newmarket in September, finishing 2nd in a 1m maiden, beaten a short head by Tenerife Sunshine, then in October at Nottingham, finished 3rd in a 1m maiden, beaten 2l behind Artistic Star. In November he won a 1m novice stakes by a head from Umberto, then reappeared in April at Newmarket and won a 1m 2f handicap by 4l from Regal Empire  (gave 5lb). I think that is decent form, and he could well end up listed class at least.

3 y bf Zoustar – Roger Sez    (Cliff)

High class 2 year old filly, she made her debut at Bath in June winning a 5f maiden fillies novice stakes by 1 l from Cuban Mistress 9gave 6lb),  then followed up 2 weeks later at Newmarket, taking a 6f listed fillies stakes by 1 ¾ l from Malrescia. In  July she was back at Newmarket, finishing 2nd in a 6f fillies group 2, beaten ½ l by Mawj, then returned to winning ways at Ascot 3 weeks later winning a 6f fillies group 3 by 1l from Kinta. She finished the season at Newmarket in September, winning the 6f group 1 fillies  Cheveley Park stakes by ¾ l from Meditate. She holds a 1000 guineas entry, and 12/1 would look generous if her stamina was guaranteed. However her sire was best over 6f and the dam was a modest handicapper whose form over a mile was nothing special, so she may be best at sprint distances, and that is her trainers assessment. However, she will be a very smart sprinter this season.

He reappeared at Cork in April 2021, winning a 1m 2f stakes race by ½ l from O’Reilley, then in May was 4th at Linfield in a 1m 3f listed stakes, beaten 10 l behind Third Realm. Not seen again that season, he returned last April at Navan winning a 1m 6f listed stakes by 2 2 ¾ l from Search for a Song (received 1 lb), and followed up at Leopardstown in May winning a 1m 6f group 3 by 14 l from Sunchart.

He was sent off favourite in June for the Group 1 2m4f Ascot Gold Cup, and won by ½ l from Mojo Star, followed up in July winning the 2m group1 Goodwood Cup by ½ l from Stradivarius, then in September won the 1m 6f group 1 Irish St Leger by ¾ l from Hamish. He finished the season at Longchamp in October winning the 2m 4f Prix Du Cadran by a stunning 20l on very soft ground, and that will worry Trueshan fans. He will be very hard to beat in all the staying races this season. He has however picked up a joint injury and will miss the early part of the season.

This colt made his debut at Leicester in August, finishing 3rd in a 7f novice stakes, beaten 5 ¼ by Valdai, then in September at Salisbury, won a 1m novice stakes by 3 ¼ l from Tabaretta. 2 y bc Wotton Bassett – Frida La Blonde  (Bob)

Two year olds are rare and chancy picks so it will be interesting to see how this one goes. A couple of us had Amo Racings Persian Force last season after a winning start and whilst he performed admirably at group 1 level, did not deliver many points. This one scored first time out at the Curragh in March, taking a 5f maiden by 2 ¾ l from Sturlasson, . He brings a new trainer to the competition, and is bred to be quick, and with AMO racings ambitions .the Royal Ascot 2 year old races will no doubt be the early aim

Interesting pick, this maiden filly made her debut at Doncaster in October last year, finishing 4th in a 1m fillies maiden, beaten 5l behind Soul Sister, then in November at Kempton was third in a 1m fillies novice stakes, finishing 1 ½ l behind Marksman Queen. She reappeared at Newbury in April, finishing 8th, beaten 24 ½ l in a 1m 2f fillies maiden behind Gather Ye Rosebuds, and will qualify for handicaps now. Strangely she holds an English Derby entry, and Irish Oaks entry, but has some way to go to justify those entries.

2023 Flat - What's In The Name

Yosemite Valley - is a National Park in California

Auguste Rodin - François Auguste René Rodin (12 November 1840 – 17 November 1917) was a French sculptor, generally considered the founder of modern sculpture. He was schooled traditionally and took a craftsman-like approach to his work. Rodin possessed a unique ability to model a complex, turbulent, and deeply pocketed surface in clay

Perseids - The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift–Tuttle. The meteors are called the Perseids because the point from which they appear to hail (called the radiant) lies in the constellation Perseus.

Bucanero Fuerte is brewed with malted barley and hops with the addition of Cuban sugar. Cervecería Bucanero Brewery is situated in Holguín, a typical Cuban city located on the East side of the island. The brewery was built at the end of the 1980's using German technology.

2023 Flat - Editor's Introduction

Much of this season will revolve around the final season for one of the flats most flamboyant jockeys, Frankie Dettorri. Whilst not every one’s cup of tea, he has been hugely important as the front man of racing in many ways for quite some time, especially in an era when racing has often been getting a bad press. His interviews and flying dismounts have bought much needed colour and fun to a sport that often lacks real characters to front it up. Just look at the contrast to a Frankie Group 1 compared to that of a Ryan Moore one.

Most Jockeys announce their retirement a few days before or even after their last ride. Not Frankie, he has announced it basically a full season in advance, is off on a world tour of riding, and we should appreciate him this season, as we don’t really have another character  to fill his boots.

In terms of the equine stars, Derby Winner Desert Crown is due to return as a four year old after a curtailed 3 year old campaign, and will cross swords with Adayar,  Stradivarius has retired, but we have a potential star to fill his shoes in Kyprios, whilst Trueshan will serve it up to the best if he gets soft ground in the Cup races along with Sujectivist. Sadly Kyprios is going to miss the early part of the season, having picked up a joint injury.

The star at Meydan was Japanese trained Equinox who romped home in the Dubai Sheema Classic. It would be great to see him in Europe this season, and certainly the Arc is a possibility, though connections have already warned that soft ground would rule him out. Therefore  I would love to see him at Royal Ascot but that is unlikely.

Cod’s dick has ruled his head with the pick of Miss Yvonne and Theonewedreamof.

Again, up and coming trainers are represented by James Ferguson and George Boughey and Godolphin representation is very strong. We have a total of 105 different horses, of which 34 are covered here. Enjoy the read and good luck to all

2022/23 Boozy Punter Horse of the Season

Congratulations to

State Man

Though State Man was decisively beaten by Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle, our single pick rules meant that Willie Mullins' star hurdler was our top points scorer this season.

Eventual champion Peej was the Punter with the single pick and would have been delighted with a comfortable season-opening 51.4 points win in the Morgiana Hurdle in November. Paul Townend on board (as he was for all the runs) the 4/9 favourite and old stager Sharjah four lengths behind in second.

Four and a quarter lengths was the margin at the Matheson Hurdle at Leopardstown in December as State Man delivered 53.2 points when coming home at 4/6F ahead of Vauban.

It was back to Leopardstown in February for the Irish Champion Hurdle. This time it was two-time Champion Hurdler Honeysuckle that was beaten into second, by four and three quarter lengths, by the 6/5 favourite. That earned Peej 78.8 points.

There was another 23.4 points for that runner-up spot in the Champion Hurdle but with the Punchestown Festival falling into our competition this year there was a chance for redemption.

Despite a less-than-textbook jump at the last, State Man came home comfortably at 2/5F for 52.4 points - Vauban the closest challenger three lengths in arrears.

The top three:

259.2 - State Man (51.4 + 53.2 + 78.8 + 23.4 + 52.4)
207.36 - Lossiemouth (38 + 63.2 + 54.76 + 52.4)
204.91 - Constitution Hill (51.25 + 51.15 + 51.37 + 51.14)
