News
this has been a great month for Sea The Stars, the Guineas, Derby and Arc winner, who sired his first classic winner when Taghrooda took the Oaks, and it could get better at Royal Ascot on Friday when MY TITANIA is fancied to take the Coronation Stakes. The John Oxx-trained filly, held in the highest regard by her astute handler, was not quite right to run in either the English or Irish 1000 Guineas but has long been talked about as a future Group One winner.
Richard Hannon had Derby dreams for Bunker through the winter and the trainer expects his charge to strip a good deal fitter tor his run at York."Our Derby dream ended when Bunker ran what initially looked a disappointing race in the Dante, but the subsequent performances of The Grey Gatsby and Arod have given the York form a real boost, so perhaps it was not such a bad first run," Hannon told  "He had been off a long time and would have needed it, and the longer distance should also play to his strengths."

News

MARVELLOUS, the ambitiously-named filly who showed great improvement to win the Irish 1000 Guineas last month, looks the one to beat in Friday's Investec Oaks.
Aidan O'Brien's 'marvellously' bred daughter of Galileo (out of a full sister to Giants Causeway), had finished only sixth on her reappearance behind stable-companion Bracelet at Leopardstown but proved a different proposition in the closing stages at The Curragh pulling three lengths clear of English Guineas runner-up Lightning Thunder (stablemate Palace beaten nine lengths into fifth).

French superstar Cirrus Des Aigles is one of eight declarations for Saturday's Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom, run this year in memory of St Nicholas Abbey. Andre Fabre has won the  race six times and is represented by Flintshire, who was slightly disappointing when well fancied for the  Arc last season

Simenon remains bound for this month's Gold Cup despite owner Nick Peacock admitting the globe-trotter needs to raise his game.

Telescope has confirmed his place at Royal Ascot after featuring among a group of Sir Michael Stoute's big names working along the Rowley Mile on Wednesday morning

Karakontie will revert to a mile following an early summer rest after connections felt Sunday's Prix du Jockey Club was beyond his range

Shamkala is more likely to remain on home soil than travel from France to contest the Investec Oaks at Epsom on Friday week.

Kingston Hill gained plenty of admiring glances from work-watchers at Thursday's Breakfast With The Stars event. Last season's  Racing Post  Trophy winner pulled a couple of lengths clear of two lead-horses in a 10-furlong stretch at Epsom to leave jockey Andrea Atzeni all smiles
He said: "He went really nicely. He travelled good and quickened up well. He handled the ground - it's pretty soft out there - but I was very  pleased with him.
