We start at York on Saturday, where in the 1m handicap Birdman (Peej), went to post, sweating, took keen hold, tracked leaders, headway 2 out, ridden to lead approaching final furlong, soon clear, kept on strongly winning by 1 ¾ l. He gets 32. 6 points, and looks ready for a step up in class

At Newmarket in the 6f Group 1 July sprint cup Muhaarar ( (Peej), Tropics (Peej), went to post. Muhaarar chased leaders, ridden over 2 out, driven and strong run inside final furlong, led on post, winning by nose. He gets 105.6 points.

Tropics led, ridden over 1 out, driven and forged ahead inside last, caught on line , 2^nd a nose. He gets 24 points.

At Chantilly on Sunday Territories ( Lee), took his chance in the 1m group 1 Prix Jean Prat, held up in last, shaken up and headway on outer over 1 out, challenged inside last, soon led, ran on well under hands and heels, winning cosily by ½ l. He gets 54.6 points.

At Carlisle on Saturday, in the 7f handicap, Go Dan Go (Cod), took his chance, held up, smooth headway 2 out, led and ridden approaching final furlong, soon hard pressed, held on well close home, winning by ½ l. He gets 25.4 points.

At Haydock in the 1m2f handicap, Cymro ( Neil), took his chance, tracked leaders, effort 4 out, upsides 3 out, led approaching final furlong, all out winning by a neck. He gets 30 points.

At Sandown in the 1m 2f Group 1 Eclipse stakes, Golden Horn ( Bob, Cliff, Lee, Tony), The Grey Gatsby ( Neil, Peej) went to post.

Golden Horn made virtually all, joined 4 out, shaken up over 2 out, ridden to assert 1 out, stretched clear final 150 yards winning by 3 ½ l. He gets 51.3 points.

The Grey Gatsby tracked winner, challenged and upsides from 4 out, good battle after and ridden 2 out, no extra inside last, finishing 2^nd 3 ½ l. He gets 12 points.

Karakontie is set to make his belated seasonal reappearance in the Prix Jacques le Marois on August 16

The Grey Gatsby could get the chance to gain his revenge over Golden Horn in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October, Kevin Ryan's four-year-old matched the Epsom Derby winner for a long way in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on Saturday before Golden Horn eventually stretched three and a half lengths clear in receipt of 11lb.

The Juddmonte International at York on August 19, in which he was second to Australia last season, has again been identified by Ryan as the colt's next assignment.The Grey Gatsby is then expected to defend his title in the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in September, after which another showdown with Golden Horn might be on the cards.North Yorkshire-based Ryan said: "He's come out of it great."We were surprised he didn't lose much weight as we thought he'd lose more.

"It will be York next, then Ireland and hopefully then on to the Arc."

Connections of Solow would relish the opportunity of seeing their excellent colt go toe to toe with Gleneagles in the Qatar Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager for Solow's owners, the Wertheimer brothers, told the Punter "We will stick to the plan and go for the Sussex.

"Freddy says the horse is back to normal after Royal Ascot and is working very well. "It was a big, big pleasure to win the Queen Anne Stakes and we will now look at the Sussex to try to keep things going

At the Curragh on Saturday, Jack Hobbs ( Bob) went to post in the 1m 4f Group 1 Irish Derby, prominent, soon settled behind leaders in 3^rd, improved in to second over 3 out travelling well, led 1 ½ out, ridden clear inside last, stayed on strongly, winning comfortably by 5l. He gets 104 points.

At Newmarket in the 1m fillies handicap, Angel Vision (Tony), took her chance, steadied start, held up  in touch in mid field, ridden and headway to lead over 1out, clear inside last, winning readily by 2 ½ l. She gets 25.6 points.

At Windsor, KodI Bear ( Cod, Martin), took his chance, in the 1m listed stakes, made all and raced freely, joined 3 out but still going well, driven over 1 out, edged left and hard pressed inside last, kept on well winning by ¾ l. He gets 14.1 points.

At Doncaster in the 6f maiden stakes, The Tin Man ( Peej), went to post, prominent, close up ½ way, lead approaching last, soon ridden and kept on, winning by 1l. He gets 29.6 points.

At Saint- Cloud on Sunday Treve (Cliff), went to post in the 1m 4f Group 1 Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud, took keen hold, prominent in mid field, ridden to challenge over 1 out, stayed on and led inside last, asserted close home, winning by 1 ¼ l. She gets 53.2 points.
