One of the top novice hurdlers last season it is
likely he will go chasing this season, and he is an exciting prospect over
fences. He made his debut at Southwell in January 2017, winning a 2m bumper by
3 ½ l from Grey Warbler, then was second at Kempton in February in a similar
event, beaten 2 ¼ l by Irish Prophecy (received 9lb). He didn’t reappear until January 2018, finishing
a neck 2nd to Vinndication (gave 6lb) at Ascot in a 2m 5f novice
hurdle, then in May won a 2m 4f maiden hurdle at Perth, beating Court Dreaming
(received 3lb ) by 10l, and finished the season in May at Warwick, winning a 2m
5f novice hurdle by 10 l from Merry Milan.
He reappeared at Newbury in December last year winning a 2m 4f handicap
hurdle by 4 ½ l from Le Musee (received
19lb), then in December won the grade 1 Challow novice hurdle over the same
course and distance, beating Getaway Trump 2 ½ l. He was then 2nd at Cheltenham in
March in the 2m 5f Ballymore novice
hurdle, beaten 2l by City Island, and finished the season with victory
at Aintree in the 3 grade 1 Sefton novice hurdle, beating Emitom 3l.
