Top class horse who has not been out
the frame in his completed starts, and due to injury is lightly raced but looks
sure to be a major player in the top middle distance races this season. He made
a late debut as a two year old, winning a 1m Wolverhampton maiden by 3l from
Dutch Uncle on 27th December 2014.
He reappeared at Sandown in April 2015
in a 1m 2f handicap, and sent off 10/11f won by 12l from Rotherwick. Upped in
class he went to York for the 1m 2f Group 2 Dante stakes where he was beaten 2
3/4l by Golden Horn, then was
beaten in June in the Derby by Golden Horn again, this time by 3 ½ l.
Next stop was the Curragh for the Irish
Derby, which he won by 5l from Storm The Stars, then perhaps surprisingly he
went to Kempton for the group 3 September stakes, which he won very easily by 3
½ l from Sweeping Up. Final stop for the season was Ascot for the 1m 2f Group 1
Champion stakes where he finished 3rd to Fascinating Rock beaten
13/4l. With Golden Horn at Stud he
was expected to be a leading 4 year old but was pulled up at Newmarket on is
reappearance in April, and only reappeared on Champions day at Ascot, finishing
a respectable 3rd beaten 3 3/4l by Almanzour.
He has started this season in fine form taking the 1m 4f Group 1 Dubai Sheema
classic by 2 ¼ l from Seventh Heaven. Trainer J.Gosden
