Godolphin have some really exciting prospects this season, and star 2 year old Pinatubo leads the way this season. He made his debut on 10 May at Wolverhampton in a 6f maiden , beating Platinum Star easily by 3 1/4l, then in May at Epsom took the 6f listed Woodcote stakes by 1 1/2l from Oh Purple Reign. Stepped up to 7f in the Listed Chesham stakes at Royal Ascot he won 3 ¼ l from Lope Y Fernandez, then really came to the big stage at Goodwood, taking the 7f group 2 Vintage Stakes by 5l from Positive. Stepped up to Group 1 company next time he was stunning at the Curragh winning the 7f National Stakes by 9l from Armory, and finished the season with a2 l victory at Newmarket in the 7f group 1 Dewhurst stakes, beating Arizona.
He sets the standard for this seasons milers and looks very hard to beat.
