Another great name pick from Cod, he was placed in 2 out of 5 runs in points in May 2016.  He made his rules debut at Limerick in December 2016, when pulled up, was then 11^th at Thurles in a 2m 6f maiden hurdle, then 5^th at Limerick over 2m, then 14^th at Limerick in a 2m 5f handicap hurdle. He was then 4^th at Cork in a 3m handicap hurdle, beaten 4l behind Tristram Shandy, then 2 weeks later over 2m 4f at Tipperary, was 9^th beaten 30 l,  He was then 3^rd at Listowel in a 2m 4f handicap hurdle, beaten 2 ½ l behind Swift, then filled the same position at Gowran Park over 2miles in another handicap hurdle, beaten just ½ l. He was then 9^th at Killarney in another handicap hurdle, 11 ½ l behind Lizzies Champ, then was 2^nd at Limerick over 2 6f beaten 2 ½ l by Snugsborough Benny. A third at Kilbeggan beaten 7 ¼ l by the Irregular was followed by 9^th over 2m4f at Listowel, beaten 23 ¼ l by Granny Biddy, then finished 2^nd over 2m at Thurles, beaten 1l by Fairymount Boy. Given a 150 day break, he came back refreshed to win his first race what seems to be  a 3m  maiden point  at Ballyarthur, just 2 runners beating Major Milan 4l. He was then pulled up at Cork in a 3m maiden Hunter Chase, then unseated at Killarney in another chase, then finished 6^th back in handicap hurdle company at Listowel, beaten 9l by Padraic Conaire. 6^th at Killbegan, pulled up at Tipperary, 5^th at Cork, he was then third at Tramore, beaten 6 ½ l by Cantkidakidder, then won at Wexford taking a 2m 4f handicap hurdle by 1 ½ l from Cantkidakidder at odds of just 7/1. He ten slipped up at Clonmel and fell on his last start at Cork.
