Top class performer who has won 5 of
his 11 starts. He made his debut in June 2016, finishing 2nd in a 7f
maiden at the Curragh, beaten ½ l by Arcada, then in July won a 1m maiden at
Galway beating Rekindling 2 ½ l. He followed up in August at Tipperary in 7f
listed race, beating Boyfriend Brian 2l, He then stepped up to group 2 company
over 1m at Curragh in September, beating Yucatan ¾ l, and finished the season
with a 3rd at Saint- Cloud, over 1m 2f in the Group 1 Criterium de
Saint –Cloud, beaten 1 ½ l by Waldgeist. He reappeared in April last year,
finishing 4th, beaten 4 ¼ l by Rekindling in a 1m 2f group 3
Leoparstown, then in May was third again over 1m 2f at Leopardstown , in
another group3, beaten a neck by Douglas Mcarthur. He then finished 6th
in the Epsom Derby, beaten 3 ¾ l by Wings of Eagles, but returned to winning
form in the Irish Derby, overturning form with Wings of Eagles, and winning by
a neck from Cracksman. Stepped up to 1m 6f at Doncaster in September, he won
the Group 1 St Leger by ½ l from Crystal Ocean, but then ran no race on his
final start Chantilly in the Arc , finishing 17th, beaten 12 ½ l by
Enable. He has an entry for the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup in May, and will
be aimed at the top middle distance races again.
He made a winning reappearance at Naas recently,
taking a 1m 2f group 3 by a head from Cannonball
