Crafty Choice 3 y bc Intikhab – Song of Passion (Neil)
He could live up to his name as he is a
useful colt having won 4 of his 7 starts so far. He made his debut in July last
year, in a 6f maiden at Windsor, finishing 6th, beaten 7l behind
Heartbreak Hero, then finished 4th in a similar event at Salisbury 2
weeks later, beaten 2 ½ l behind Plymouth Sound. He got off the mark next time
at Bath in a 7f maiden, beating Grand Spirit 1 3/4l , then followed up at Newmarket
in a 1m nursery handicap, beating Tom Hark a nose when receiving 6lb in August.
He then won a similar event over 1m 1f at Nottingham in October, beating Paddys
Motorbike 3l, then returned to Newmarket at the end of October, taking a 1m2 f
conditions stakes by 1 1/4l from Captain Navarre. He finished in November with
a 4th in the Group 1 1m 2f Criterium De Saint – Cloud, beaten 4 ½ l
by Epicuris, and should be placed to winning effect again by his shrewd
trainer.
