Well here we go again, pin sticking
for the three year olds, an Aidan O’Brien colt short price favourite for the
2000 guineas again, which they
rarely win. Godolphin look set for a strong season, with John Gosden now
training the Blue silks as well as Appleby and Bin Suroor. Some young trainers coming through, a
strong northern presence now, and a nice crop of older horses all make for
another fascinating season ahead. Also Richard Hughes’s last season,
interesting jockey movements, make intriguing back drops to the on course
action.
A trend developing is the number of
Sir Michael Stoute 4 year olds in the list, John Gosden is very popular, Peej
has avoided Ballydoyle completely, going instead for 3 Elite Racing Club
horses, and generally the nets seem to have been cast wider than ever, with no
fewer than 118 different horses chosen which I think is a record and shows how
open every one thinks it is especially as an incredible 86 are single picks !
The most popular pick is Found with
7.
So great hunting by all, good luck
