News
Ado McGuinness has said his globetrotting star A Case Of You is "like a tiger" at home as he prepares for another big autumn campaign, beginning at the Curragh in the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend. The four-year-old, who won the Al Quoz Sprint at the Dubai World Cup meeting in March, will have the same programme, culminating at Keeneland with another bid for Breeders' Cup glory.

A Case Of You has not been seen since finishing 17th in the Platinum Jubilee at Royal Ascot, but McGuinness reports him to be in top form for the Flying Five, in which he finished half-a-length second to Romantic Proposal last season.McGuinness said: "He had a gallop at Naas on Monday morning and worked really well. He bounced out of it like a tiger and it's all systems go."He wasn't right at Ascot and I just couldn't put my finger on it. He coughed a few days after. Sometimes you just have to bite your lip and go again. No sprinter wins five Group 1 sprints every year; that's just the way sprinting is."

Connections have issued an upbeat bulletin on staying icon Stradivarius, who remains in training at John and Thady Gosden's Clarehaven Stables after missing last Friday's Lonsdale Cup at York with a bruised foot. The eight-year-old, who could have brought the curtain down on his glittering career on the Knavesmire, could pitch up in the Group 2 Doncaster Cup next month if he makes a swift recovery.
