We start a the Curragh on Friday where in the 1m 2f group 1 , Iridessa ( Cliff), went to post, Tracked leaders, 3rd halfway, pushed along 2f out and headway to lead 1f out, ridden and edged right 100 yards out, kept on well, winning by 2 ¼ l. She gets 74.6 points.
At Newmarket on Saturday in the 7f group 3, Limato ( Steve), took his chance, Close up, headway over 2f out, ridden to lead approaching final furlong, driven and all out winning by a neck. He gets 36.8 points.
At Newcastle in the 6f group 3 Invincible Army ( Bob), went to post, Prominent, led over 4f out, made rest, ridden clear final furlong, ran on strongly, winning by 2 ¼ l. He gets 33.2 points.
At the Curragh in the 6f listed stakes, Speak in Colours ( Neil),
went to post, Tracked leaders, still travelling smoothly 2f out, pushed along
over 1f out, soon gained narrow lead, stayed on well inside final furlong, all
out, winning by a head. He gets 29 points.
On Sunday at Windsor in the 1m novice
stakes, Vasiliev ( Martin,
Tony), took his chance, Made all, driven clear over 2f out, hung left
over 1f out, hard ridden, ran on well, winning by 3 ¼ l. He gets 11. 4 points.
In the 1m 2f group 2 Headman( Martin), took his
chance, Waited in with in second trio, switched outside and headway 2f out,
driven to lead 1 1/2f out, soon clear, driven out, winning by 3l. He gets 46.4 points.

filly Laurens will
revert to taking on her own sex in next week's Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes at
Newmarket following a below-par display at Royal Ascot.
John Gosden is
eyeing Sunday's Qatar Prix Jean Prat at Deauville for Too Darn Hot with the belief the
conditions of the race will be ideal for last season's champion two-year-old, The
Prix Jean Prat will be run over seven furlongs for the first time this year –
having been staged over a mile since 2005 – and Gosden believes the step back
in trip will suit the son of Dubawi, who won the Dewhurst at that distance last
season

Private Secretary is set for a drop in trip after finishing fourth in the King

Gosden-trained colt had won his previous three races and was strongly fancied
to be involved at the business end of the 12-furlong contest.
However,
connections felt he failed to see out the distance and races over 10 furlongs
will now be sought.
"I think it
was the Kingman in his pedigree, he probably just failed to see out the
trip," said Richard Evans, racing manager for owners Denford Stud told the
Punter.
Charlie Appleby
hopes to have unbeaten Group One winner Quorto back from his setback in time for an autumn campaign.
Appleby is
optimistic that all is currently going to plan for a return this season. "If
we can keep meeting the targets we are meeting at the moment then there is a
live chance of that happening," he said. "Goodwood would be too soon.
I'd say we would be looking at late summer (or) early autumn for him. If we can
get a run or two into him as a three-year-old that would be great.
