Aidan O'Brien will decide on Saxon Warrior's participation
in the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes within the next 10 days.
Limato might head to
Haydock for the 32Red Sprint Cup on Saturday week if conditions were suitable
after returning to form with his first victory of the season at Newmarket.
The 2016 July Cup hero was back at the scene of his
famous triumph to land the Listed Hopeful Stakes on Saturday.
Trainer Henry Candy reported the six-year-old to have
taken the race well, but is in no hurry to firm up future plans, although
Haydock could be a possible target if he got his favoured fast ground.
"He's fine," said Candy. "No plans. We'll
just see how he is and how the weather is.
"He could go to Haydock if everything was OK."
Havana Grey may return to
the Curragh next month following his fine effort in the Coolmore Nunthorpe at
York on Friday.
Karl Burke's
three-year-old was beaten three lengths into fifth place on the Knavesmire,
despite racing on his own on the far side of the track at the business end of
the race.
Dean Ivory plans to bypass an outing in the 32Red Sprint
Cup at Haydock with Librisa Breeze in favour of heading straight to Ascot for the defence
of his Qipco British Champions Sprint title on October 20.
The gelded son of Mount Nelson has failed to rediscover
the form that saw him capture the Group One prize in four starts so far this
season, including last time out when trailing home last in the Hungerford
Stakes at Newbury.
Ivory told The Punter: "I ran him a bit too quick at
Newbury after Deauville. The time was four seconds slower than the standard and
the race was not run to suit us.
"We will go
for the Champions Sprint now. He has had two quick runs and that has taken a
lot out of him.
