We start at Sandown on Saturday where in the 1m 2f Group 1 Eclipse Stakes Roaring Lion ( Neil, Steve), Saxon Warrior ( Bob, Cliff, Cod, Martin, Neil, Steve, Tony), went to post.

Roaring Lion, Held up mainly in 5th, lost place and in last pair 4f out, headway on outside over 2f out, ridden to challenge inside final furlong, ran on, led narrowly inside final 100 yards, edged right and held on towards finish, winning by a neck. He gets 52.4 points.

Saxon Warrior, Tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, ridden to lead over 1f out, hard pressed inside final furlong, kept on when narrowly headed inside final 100 yards, carried right by winner towards finish, just held, 2^nd beaten a neck. He gets 12 points.

On Tuesday at Pontefract in the 1m 2f novice stakes Herciulean ( Bob, Martin, Steve), took his chance, Held up, headway over 2f out, challenged over 1f out, led and ridden inside final furlong, stayed on, winning by ½ l. He gets 11.1 points
