Interesting pick, he is lightly raced for a 6 year old but has high class form in the book.
He made his debut at Lingstown last April winning a 3m 5/6 year old geldings maiden by 6l from River Run Free, moved to Willie Mullins and in December at Limerick won a 2m 5f maiden hurdle by 15 l from Timmy Tuesday, then in February at Leopardstown this year won a 2m 6f grade 1 novice hurdle by 12l from Wingman. In march at Cheltenham in the 2m 5f grade 1 Turners novice hurdle he was 3rd, beaten 5 ½ l behind the New Lion, and finished at Punchestown in May winning the 2m 4f grade 1 Champion novice hurdle by 16 l from Lovely Hurling.
Willie Mullins told The Punter: "He’s a realty exciting horse for novice chases and will be one for the staying division. He’s a huge horse, well over 17hh, and he has lots of scope to jump. We won’t worry too much about what trip we start him off over, but as the season progresses and he goes up in grade, he’ll go up in trip."
