Bought
for 110,000gns out of Edward Lynam’s stable by Donald McCain he was bred for
Epsom being by Sea The Stars out of a Sadlers Wells mare but is now being
targeted at Cheltenham . McCain said ‘On the flat Starchitect was only
beaten 1 ½ lengths by Table Rock from Aiden O’Brien’s stable who has gone on to
win three races including a listed contest at Newmarket. He’s a big
scopey sort who goes on the soft and is by a great sire and I’m hoping he’ll be
a Triumph Hurdle prospect.’ Since starting his jumping career he has won his
first two starts, an easy victory at Bangor and more recently a good contest at
Aintree beating a well-regarded Martin Pipe prospect.
