Very
decent chaser who has won 7 of his 15 starts, he got off the mark at his 4th
attempt, winning a 2m 5f novice hurdle at Plumpton in January 201, beating
A’bey My Boy 8l. He was then second at Taunton over 2m 1f in another novice
hurdle, beaten 4l by Sanctuaire, then went to Cheltenham in November and beat
For Non Stop 6l, giving 1lb to the runner up. He then won a 3m listed brush
hurdle at Haydock by 10 l from Barafundle, followed up at Cheltenham in January,
in a 3m grade 2 hurdle, beating Knockara Beau 10l, then took on Big Bucks at
the Festival, finishing 1 ¾ l 2nd in the World Hurdle, and suffered
the same fate at Aintree , this time 5l behind Big Bucks.. He then went to
Auteil in June 2011, and was 6th
behind Thousand Stars, beaten 11 ½ l in the 3m grade 1, Grande Course Des
Haies, D’Auteuil hurdle. Sent chasing last season, he started in a 2m 4f novice
chase at Cheltenham, beating Champion Court, giving 5lb, 10l, and followed up
at Newbury in a 3m grade 2 novice chase, beating Sonofvic 2l, giving 7lb to the
runner up. He then took the 3m grade Feltham Novice chase at Kempton on Boxing
Day, beating Silviniaco Conti 2 1/4l. He went to the RSA Chase at the festival
as a strong favourite, but faded badly at the bottom of the hill and finished 4th,
beaten 17 ½ l. He reportedly
scoped dirty after that, so if you put a line through that he can be expected
to take top rank this season.
