chaser who has won 7 of his 10 starts, and never been out of the frame. He made his debut at Kempton in
a 2m bumper in October 2010, finishing 1 ½ l second to stable mate Prince of
Pirates. He then won his next 6, another 2m Kempton bumper by 7l from Filbert,
a 2m novice hurdle by 9l from Sire De Grugy also at Kempton, then a 2m 4f
novice hurdle at Cheltenham by 2 ½ l from Rose of the Moon.
He then
took a grade 2 novice hurdle at Cheltenham in January 2011 by 2 ¼ l from Rock
on Ruby, and finished by winning the grade 1 3m Albert Bartlett at the festival
by 2 1/4l from stable mate Mossely. He reappeared last season, in a grade 2
novice chase at Newbury, beating Cue Card a short head, then finished 3rd
at Kempton, in the grade 1 Feltham novice chase, 5 ¼ l behind Grand Crus. He
was then 2nd at Ascot in a 3m grade 2 novice chase beaten 3l by
Invictus, then finished the season with victory at Cheltenham, taking the grade
1 3m RSA chase by 2 ½ l from First Lieutenant. He is a genuine Gold Cup
prospect this season.
