class chaser who has won 7 of 14 starts, he fell on his point debut but won on
his second outing taking a 3m maiden beating Minella Class 2l in May 2009. He
wsa then third in a Punchestown bumper in October, 5l behind Summit Meeting,
then won a similar event at Fairyhouse in December by 10 l from Shuil Derg. He
came across the water to join Paul Nicholls and reappeared at Newbury in
February 2010, wining a 2m bumper by 5l from Made in Time. He was then second
in the festival bumper, 8l behind Cue Card. He reappeared next season in
October at Cheltenham in a 2m 1f novice hurdle, where he fell, then was third
in the 2m 5f grade Challow hurdle at Newbury, beaten 9 ¾ l behind Backspin. He
then won a 2m 3f novice hurdle at Taunton by 20l from His Lordship, followed up
at Newbury in February in a 2m novice hurdle, beating Oasis Knight 15l, then
took the grade 1 2m Supreme novice hurdle at the festival by 2l from Spirit
Son. He reappeared last season at Cheltenham in November, taking a 2m grade 2
novice chase by 7l from Astracad, followed up at Sandown over 2m in the Henry
VIII grade 1 novice chase, beating for Non Stop a neck, then stepped out of
novice class to finish third to Somersby in the 2m grade 1 Victor Chandler
chase at Ascot, beaten 5l. He was then a disappointing 4th in the
Arkle at Cheltenham, beaten 32l behind Sprinter Sacre, and finished at Aintree
with a 12l third behind Menorah in the grade 1 Manifesto novice chase. He will
need careful placing to win this season in a difficult division with Sanctuaire
and Sprinter Sacre around, thoughhe may be stepped up in trip to avoid them.
