Useful bumper horse who made his debut at Wincanton in December 2014, finishing 4th, beaten 11 1/2l by Fortunate George in a 1m 7f bumper.. He then won at Kempton in February last year beating Katiebyrne 17l over 2m , and finished off with victory at Ayr in April 2015  taking another 2m bumper by 8l from Sir Will. Not seen since Nicky Henderson told the Punter "He was a top-class bumper horse and is back in action. Like Gaitway he has had time out. He won the same bumper that Sprinter Sacre won on Scottish National Day at Ayr. He is ready to start over hurdles and has shown us plenty of pace. I suspect good ground will suit but he really is something to look forward to this winter."

This is Peej’s Grand National hope as trainer Ben Pauling has said the horse that as his only target this season. He has been a late developer, running moderately until getting off the mark at the 11th time of asking when winning a 3m handicap chase at Exeter in March 2015 by 4l from Buddy Love. He has been very consistent since, finishing 2nd at Haydock a month later in a 2m5f handicap chase, beaten 6l by Hollow Blue Sky. The saddle broke on his next run at Sandown , but he improved to win at Newbury last December, taking the Mandarin handicap chase over 3m 1f by ¾ l from Amidon, and followed up at Kempton in February this year winning another 3m handicap chase by 2 ¼ l from A Good Skin, then ran a solid 3rd at the Cheltenham festival in the 3m 2f handicap chase, beaten 12 l by Cause of Causes. Currently rated only 139 he needs to up the weights to get in the National and the plan is to go for the Beecher chase at Aintree in December. Given he needs to win wherever he runs next, he will be worth an interest.

An optimistic pick, he has only won 2 of his 15 starts, a 2m 3 f handicap hurdle at Down Royal in March this year, beating Manuaka 4 ¾ l , and his latest start at Fairyhouse, a 2m 4gf handicap hurdle , beating Neddyvaughan a length.

Placed on another 3 occassions, Cod will be delighted if he can win another handicap or two, remember Mr Right on the flat !

Useful sort who was in the editors string 2 seasons ago when he won twice from 5 runs, as a novice hurdler being placed in 2 others. In fact he has only been out the frame 3 times in 13 runs, and has won 6. He has always been well thought of by Philip Hobbs, and last season won a grade 3 hurdle at Ascot by 1/2l from Baron Alco (received 10lb), and a handicap hurdle at Haydock beating Aerlite Supreme (received 6lb ) 8l . He goes novice chasing this season and impressed Richard Johnson when winning a 2 ½ m novice chase at Chepstow, and will hopefully add to that as the season goes on.

One of the big talking horses of recent seasons he has been plagued by injury, but if staying fit this season, could end up as a high class hurdler.
He made his debut in April 2014 at Fairyhouse in a sales bumper when trained by Michael Ronayne, winning by 7 ½ l from Sir Scorpion. Bought out of that by David Pipe, he next appeared at Cheltenham in October 201`4, winning a 2m bumper by 12l from Arabic  History, then went off hot favourite at the festival in March 2015 in the Champion Bumper, winning by 1 ½ l from Modus. He was not seen again until Puchestown in April this year where he ran a very decent 2nd in the 2m Grade 1 Champion bumper, beaten ¾ l by Blow By Blow. He has already made a winning reappearance this season, winning a 2m novice hurdle at Perth by ¾ l from Ballyandy.

Very lightly raced for an 8 year old, he has obviously had his problems. He made his debut at Punchestown in May 2013, finishing 8th in a 2m bumper, beaten 38 ½ l behind Faugheen. In December 2013 he won a 3m maiden point at Tattersalls Farm by ½ l Fom Dinnies, Vinnie, then made his English debut for Simon West in October 2014, winning a 2m 4f novice hurdle by an impressive 36 l from Master Dee. He followed up in November over 2m 3f at Haydock, taking another novice hurdle by 11l from Vago Collonges.          Off for a year he reappeared at Carlisle last November, finishing ½ l 2nd to Silsol in a 2m 4f novice chase, then fell in a grade 2 novice chase at Newbury 3 weeks later. He then reappeared at Auteuil in March this year , finishing a short neck 2nd in a 2m 5f listed hurdle, and if he stays fit, is a very interesting prospect.
