2014 Flat Profile - The Hooded Claw

The Hooded Claw  3 y ch g  Dandy Man – Changari  (Peej)
Once again the net has been cast far and wide , and this is one that Peej no doubts hopes is a single pick. With a record of nine runs and f just one win, he is an interesting choice. He made his debut at Ripon in May last year, finishing last of 5 behind Rosebay Coral, beaten 5l , over 5f, then in August at Thirsk, finished 7th beaten, 10 ½ l behind Lucky Parsons, in another 5f maiden. He went back to Thirsk in August, and showed improved form in a 6f maiden, finishing 2nd to Inyourdreams, beaten 2 ¼ l, then in September, went to York, and finished 6th, beaten 4 ¼ l behind Alpahbet Rap, over 5 ½ f. He then finished 2nd At Ripon in another 6f maiden, beaten ¾ l by King of Macedon, then was stepped up to Listed class, and finished 5th, beaten 3 l by Ventura mist over 6f at Redcar.
He then went to York in October and finished 11th, beaten 8l, in a nursery handicap over 6f, and finally got off the mark on 29th October at Catterick, winning a 6f maiden by 2l from Angel Floes. He reappeared at Thirsk recently, finishing 4th in a 5f handicap , beaten 6 ¼ l by Mecca’s Angel.

2014 Flat Profile - Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday   3 y b f Galileo - Jude         (  Martin)
This looks a speculative pick as thios filly has not shown much in 2 starts to date. She made her debut at Leopardstown in March this year, finishing 4th in a 1m 2f maiden, beaten 2 1/4l by Ceisteach, then went to Dundalk 17 days later and finished a disappointing 10th , beaten 19 by Lahinch Classics. No doubt better than that, she still has every thing to prove.

2014 Flat Profile - Rizeena

Rizeena 3 y bf Iffraaj- Serena’s Storm.     (Lee)
Very busy for a top class two year old, she ran 8 times, winning 5 and was only out the frame once. She started at Newmarket last April in a 5f maiden, finishing 5th, beaten 2 l behind Fire Blaze. She reappeared in May, taking a 5f Ascot maiden by 1 ¾ l from Oriel, followed up at Sandown, winning a 5f listed stakes by 3l from  Andhesontherun, then went to Royal Ascot and took the group 2 Queen Mary stakes by 2l from Sweet Emma Rose. Steeped up to 6f in a Newmarket group 2 she finished 2 ¼ l 2nd to Lucky Krisatle. She then went to Deauville for the 6f Group 1 Prix Morny, finishing 3rd to No Nay Never, beaten 1 ¾ l, then went to Ireland, where she won the group 1 7f Moyglare stud stakes by ¾ l from Kiyoshi. She finished the season with a 1l 2nd to the ill fated Chriseliam in the 1m group 1 Shadwell park stakes.
She could prove just short of top class this season.

2014 Flat Profile - Restraint of Trade

Restraint of Trade  4 y br g Authorized – Zivania   (Neil)
Interesting pick who has won 2 of his 6 starts to date, he made his debut at Goodwood in August 2012, finishing 3rd in a 1m maiden, beaten 3 ¾ l behind Pearl Castle, then was 5th in a similar event at Haydock, beaten 2 ½ l behind Romantic Settings. He then finished 2nd at Sandown , in another 1m maiden, 2 ¾ l behind Havana Beat, then got off the mark at Pontefract in October, beating Mutamaiz 9l. He finished the season with victory in a 1m 2f conditions stakes at Newmarket, beating Cap O’Rushes ½ l, then missed all last season.  He reappeared at Meydan in January, finishing 10th, beaten 7 ½ l by Certerach, and only holds handicap entries.
