Top[ class novice hurdler who has only
been beaten twice in his career, he made his debut at Toomebridge in a 3m ,4y
maiden point in November 2014, where he un seated his rider. He made amends a
month later at Tattersall Farm in a similar event wining by 2 ½ l from
Allenstown Kid. He made his debut under rules in March last year, winning a 2m
2f bumper by 2 ¾ l from Pause and Ponder, and followed up at Punchestown in
April over 2m beating Ok Corral 2 ½ l . Highly regarded he was put away for the
winter, and made a winning reappearance at Punchestown in December, beating
Road to Respect 8 ½ l in a 2m 4f maiden hurdle, then followed up at Sandown in
January, beating O O Seven 2 ¼ l in the grade 1 , 2m novice hurdle. He then won
the grade 1, 2m 5f Neptune Novice hurdle at the Cheltenham festival, beating
Yanworth 1 3/4 l, followed up at
Aintree, taking the 2m 4f grade 1 Mersey novice hurdle by 2 ¼ l from Le
Prezien, then was probably over the top when 4th at Punchestown in
the 2m Champion Novice hurdle, beaten 12 ½ l behind Don’t Touch it.
He goes novice chasing and is an
exciting prospect and Patrick Mullins is very bullish about his Arkle chances.
