ANNAMIX 5 YR GR G Castlemaine – Tashtiyana ( Neil)

Was touted as one to follow last season and was in Neil’s string but suffered an injury and missed the season. Interestingly Rich Ricci puts him up as his horse to follow, so is obviously fit again and should be a force to be reckoned with. He has raced just once, finishing 2^nd at Vichy in September 2016, in a 2m 1f 3 year old conditions hurdle, beaten 2 1/21 l by Mick Taros. He has entry in the grade 1 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse in December.

ASTERION FORLANGE 4Y GR G Coastal Path – Belle Du Brizais (Neil)

There are a few dark horses lurking in the strings and this once raced point winner is certainly one of them. He cost £290,000 at the Cheltenham sales following his win at Old Town in February this year, beating Assemble 6l. His French pedigree is packed with winners and he should win plenty of races this season, either in bumpers or novice hurdles

High class performer who made his debut at Moira in March 2014, finishing 2^nd in a 3m maiden point 1 ½ l behind Mahler Lad. He joined Willie Mullins and won his first bumper at Thurles by a head from Attribution, then was second at Leopardstown beaten 1l by Vigil (received 4lb). He then ran in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper and finished 10^th, beaten 16 ½ l behind Moon Racer, then was 2^nd at Aintree in the 2m 1f bumper, beaten 1 ¼ l by Barters Hill, and finished the season with victory at Punchestown, winning the Irish Champion bumper by 3 ½ l from Disko. He won 4 out of 7 starts in his novice hurdle season, a 2m maiden hurdle at Cork in November 2015, beating Hurry Henry by 9l, then a grade 2 hurdle at Navan by 12 from Tycoon Prince, then a Grade 1 at Naas in January 2016, beating Last Encounter 5l. He was then 3^rd at Leopardstown, 13^th at Cheltenham in the Supreme novice hurdle behind Altior, and 2^nd at intree in the 3m grade 1 Sefton hurdle, beaten a neck by Ballyoptic. He finished with a win at Punchestown in the grade 1 3m novice hurdle, beating Coney Island ½ l.

His novice chase season saw wins at Gowran Park in November 2016, beating Balko Des Flos 10l, followed by a grade 2 novice chase at Limerick over 2m 3f, beating Haymount 3 1/4l. He then fell at Leopardstown in a grade 1, then was 3^rd at Cheltenham in the 3m grade 1 RSA Novice chase, 10 l behind Might Bite. He didn’t reappear until February this year, winning a 3m 1f grade 3 chase at Fairyhouse by 4 ¾ l from Genie In A Bottle, then was 5^th in the 3m 5f Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse, beaten just 1l by General Principal, but was promoted to 4^th in the stewards room. His last run at Punchestown saw him win the 3m grade 1 Irish Gold Cup  by ¾ l from Djakadam.

Very lightly raced he was £37000 purchase at the Doncaster Spring sales in 2016. He made his debut at Newbury in a 2m bumper in March 2017, winning by 3 ½ l from Midnight Stroll, then in December at Ascot in a listed bumper was 2^nd beaten 2 ¾ l by Didtheyleaveuoutto. Not seen since, he starts as a novice over hurdles, and he is highly regarded at Manor Farm, and should be one to follow at least in his early runs

Two time champion hurdler, who has won 14 of his 17 starts, he again sets the standard for the 2m hurdlers. He is unbeaten in his 9 runs in the past two seasons, which have included as mentioned 2 Champion hurdles, and grade 1 wins at Aintree in the 2m 4f Grade 1 Aintree hurdle, the Fighting Fifth hurdle at Newcastle and the Christmas hurdle at Kempton. It was a close run thing at Cheltenham in March when he just held off Min by a neck, and he did not run again. He has had a wind operation and is due to reappear in the Fighting Fifth hurdle, then the Christmas hurdle, before returning to Cheltenham to defend his crown

Ex French gelding who made his debut at Angouleme in a 1m 5f flat maiden in March 2015, finishing 9^th, beaten 6 ½ l by Calling Des Blins, then then in May at Vichy over 1m 4f finished 4^th, 4l behind Copain De Classe. He then moved across the water to Willie Mullins and made a winning debut at Limerick in December 2016, taking a 2m 3f maiden hurdle by 1 ¾ l from Call The Taxie, then was off for 414 days. He reappeared at Navan in January this year and finished third in a 2m 4f Beginners chase, 39l behind stablemate Bonbon Au Miel, then won at Fairyhouse in February, taking a 2m 1f Beginners chase by 5 ½ l from Veinard. He then disappointed in a 2m 2f listed novice chase at Thurles, in March, beaten 39 l in 4^th behind Castlegrace Paddy, then in April won a 2m handicap chase at Punchestown beating Couer Joyeux 8l, then followed up in June at Roscommon, winning a 2m novice chase by 2 ¾ l from Le Martalain. Given a short break he came back in August at Galway, finishing 8 ¾ l 5^th in a 2m 2f grade 3 novice chase behind Rashaan, then in October in a 2m 3f grade 2 novice chase, finished 2^nd 3 ¾ l behind Oruna. His latest run at Punchestown saw him win a grade 3 2m 2f novice chase by 5l, reversing form with Oruna, who gave 3lb on this occasion. He should continue to pick up races at the level he is at
