Jumps Profile 13/14 - Green Flag

Green Flag  6 y bg Milan – Erin Go Brea    (Cliff)
Highly rated by his trainer, he has run 10 times under rules and 4 times in point to points.  He won his last point, a 3m event for 5 year olds at Leadington in January 2012, beating Shinrock Beat 5l. He then transferred to his current yard, and won on his debut at Hexham taking a 2m bumper by 3l from Indian Voyage, and was then second in a similar event when beaten 5l by Beeves.
He reappeared at Hexham in October 2012 in a 2m 4f novice hurdle, beating Attycran 9l, and was then second at Kelso over 2m 6f in a similar event, beaten 18 l by Maggio.  He reversed the form on 3lb better terms at Newcastle on 1 December , winning by 2 ¼ l, then won at Ayr in January beating Ballybogey 10l.  Stepped up to 3m 1f at Kelso, he was a rather disappointing 5th behind Shutthefrontdoor, beaten 20 ½ l, and was then second at Ayr twice in hurdle events. He reappeared at Kelso in October winning a 2m 7f novice chase by a neck from Imperial Vic and followed up at Ayr on 2nd November in a 3m 1f novice chase, beating Scotswell 7l, and will hopefully go on from here.

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Grand Vision

Grand Vision  7 y gr g Old Vic -  West Hill Rose  (Neil)
Lightly raced 7 year old having run only times, winning twice,  he made his debut on 27 January 2011, finishing 2nd in a 2m bumper at Ffos Las, beaten 3l by Ballytober, then was second at Uttoxeter in a similar event in March, beaten 1 ¾ l by Denali Highway. He reappeared at Chepstow in October that year in a 2m 4f novice hurdle, finishing 5l second to African Broadway, then was 10 l third at Exeter over 2m 5f in a novice hurdle, beaten 10 l by All the Kings Horses. He was then second at Hereford, in a 2m 6f novice hurdle, beaten a neck by Gullinbursti, and got off the mark in January 2012 at  Huntingdon in a 2m 5 f handicap hurdle, beating Dusky Bob 2 ¼ l. He followed up at Haydock in a 3m handicap hurdle beating Sa Suffitt 7l and finished the season at Cheltenham in the 3m grade 1 Albert Bartlett hurdle, finishing 3 ¼ l third to the ill fated Brindisi Breeze. He has not been seen since, but is a useful stayer whether he stays over hurdles or goes novice chasing.

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Diamond King

Diamond King 5 bg Kings Theatre – Georgia On My Mind (Martin)
Unbeaten gelding who made his debut at Wetherby in February this year , beating Willpower 16 l and followed up under a penalty at Bangor, winning by 19 l from Pandy, giving a stone to that rival. His trainer admitted to being surprised as the horse shows little on the gallops, but he should win his share of novice hurdles this season.

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Cue Card

Cue Card 7 y bg Kings Theatre – Wicked Crack (Martin, Neil  Peej)
Has developed in to a top class chaser, his best effort to date coming at the Cheltenham Festival last march, winning the 2m 5f Grade 1 Ryan Air chase by 9l from First Lieutenant. He also ran well at Aintree when 4 ½ l second to Sprinter Sacre at Aintree afterwards over 2m 4f but was never going to win that one. Overall he has won 9 of his 17 starts and finished second on 5 others so is a model of consistency and now his jumping has improved, will continue to be hard to beat over 2m4f – 3m . Things did not go his way in the King George last year, but he should be a major player in that and the RyanAir again this season.

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Carraig Mor

Carraig Mor  5 y bg Old Vic – Lynrick Lady  (Bob)
Unbeaten horse who made his debut at Ballindenisk in December 2012, winning a 3m maiden point from Mount Gunnery by 3l . He moved across the water to Alan King and won his debut under rules, beating Milord by 25 l in a 2m 4f novice hurdle on 1 November this year.  He is held in high regard at Barbury Castle, and should win plenty more races this season,

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Bob's Worth

Bob’s Worth 8 b g Bob Back – Fashioista (Bob, Cliff, Cod, Martin, Neil Peej, Steve, Tony)
Last Year’s Gold Cup winner has only been beaten 3 times in his 12 starts under rules, and will be a major player in all the top staying events again this year. How many times we will see though remains open to question as Nicky Henderson has already ruled out the King George and Hennessey, and he only ran twice last season. He made his debut at Newbury in November where he put up a super performance in the 3m2f Hennessey handicap chase , beating Tidal Bay 3 ¼ l  , in receipt of 6lb. Sadly as is the case with many top horses from top yards, we did not see him again until Cheltenham where he won the Gold Cup by an impressive 7l from Sir Des Champs. He will be very hard to beat again when he runs and lets hope it’s a couple of times more than last season.

Jumps Profile 13/14 - Annie Power

Annie Power 5 chm  Shirroco – Anno Luce  (Bob, Peej)
High class mare who is 7 from 7 to date, she made her debut at Galway in August 2012, winning a 2m bumper by 1 ¼ l from Dursey Sound, and followed up at Wexford in a similar event under a penalty, winning by 15 l from Ourbeautifuldream.  She then won at Listowel in a 2m , 2 runner Pro/Am race, winning by 61 l , and followed that up at Thurles in November, taking a 2m maiden hurdle by 13l from Dubh Go Leir.  Next stop was a 2m mares hurdle at Clonmel where she beat Dressedtothenines 6 ½ l, then took a grade 2 , 2m novice hurdle by 3 ¼ l from Defy Logic at Naass in February this year. Her final start was at Fairyhouse at the end of March, where she won the grade 1  Mares Hurdle Championship final, beating Glen’s Melody 12l.  She will be a threat to Quevega if going down the mares only rote, but could prove better than that.
