I have been checking back through our horses and have found a couple I missed recently. Starting at Wolverhampton in a 7f handicap where Horstead Keynes (Bob), took his chance, raced prominently, led over 1 out, winning comfortably by 1 ¼ l. He gets 26.8 points.
At Ayr Levitate (Peej) went to post in a 1m handicap, Tracked leading pair, effort over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, stayed on well towards finish , winning by 2 ½ l. He gets 33 points.
Last week at Goodwood, Gospel Choir ( Peej) went to post in the 1m 4f handicap, tracked leaders pushed along 3 out closed to challenge from 2 out, driven to lead inside last, winning by ½ l. He gets 25 points.

       At Newmarket last Friday, Soft Falling Rain (Bob), took his chance in the 1m group 2, sweating, raced in centre throughout, chased leader after 1f till ridden to lead over 2 out, stayed on strongly from 1 out, winning by 3 ½ l. He gets 43.8 points

 
On Saturday at Newmaket Sky Lantern ( Martin Peej), took her chance in the 1m fillies Group 1 Sun Chariot stakes, held up last but well in touch, crept close from 2 out quickend up well when shaken up over 1 out, led inside last winning comfortably by 1l. She gets 27.4 points.

Wentworth can win At Ascot,  races from 106 but it doesn't seem to make sense to quibble over 1lb given that Richard Hannon's three year old ticks so many of the boxes. A close fourth in the Britannia, he made amends in a class two handicap at Goodwood; a track where his seasonal reappearance over six furlongs suggested that he has the speed to cope with this drop back to seven.

Freddie Head's brilliant filly Moonlight Cloud will face 11 opponents as she aims to secure her third Group One prize of the campaign in the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp on Sunday

We start at Newbury last Friday, where in the 7f listed stakes Tawhid (Neil), went to post, , slow in to stride, held up in centre group, good headway 2 out..led 1 out, ridden clear to win readily by 2 ½ l. He gets 36.2 points.
At  Maisons Laffette, in the 1m 2f group 3, Cirrus Des Aigles (Bob, Cliff, Cod), took his chance, led, set steady pace ridden when joined 2 out, stayed on under pressure and asserted again inside final furlong, in control last 100 yards , winning by 2 ½ l. He gets 17 points.

The eagerly-awaited rematch between Elusive Kate and Sky Lantern is all set for Saturday in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket. David Wachman's Duntle was last seen running over 10 furlongs in America and returns to her best trip of a mile. Just The Judge who disappointed at Goodwood and is looking for redemption.

Firstly we go back a couple  of weeks to one I missed. Kodicil (Cod), went to post in a 2 mile handicap and won well by 3 ½ l. He gets 27 .2 points.
And Cod continues in winning form as Orfevre (Cod), went to post in the 1m 4f Group 2 at Longchamp last Sunday, travelled strongly, tracked leaders, switched left and quickend smartly to lead entering final furlong drew clear comfortably to win by 3l. He is a major player in the Arc. And gets 23.6 points here.

The score board is on the move again as The Fugue (Steve), and Al Kazeem (Martin, Steve), travelled to Leopardstown for the 1m 2f Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes.

The Fugue, waited with, took closer order in 4th at ½ way, travelled well to lead over 1 out, soon pushed clear stayed on well winning comfortably by 1 1/4l. She gets 114.8
Al Kazeem, chased leader, in 3rd, pushed along into 2nd over 2 out, not quicken with winner inside last, kept on same pace, finishing 2nd, beaten 1 ¼ l. He gets 12 points.

The competition has hit a flat spot this week, and the editor was dealt a set back when Society Rock was ruled out of Saturday’s Haydock Sprint Cup with concussion !. We have had plenty of injuries through the years but that is a new one.

Al Kazeem is among eight declarations for the Irish Champion Stakes, although rain is sure to influence the final line-up. Declaration Of War has been declared along with stablemate Kingsbarns, while other big names in the line-up include Trading Leather and The Fugue.
Completing the field are Euphrasia, Parish Hall and Princess Highway.

Elusive Kate has not been declared for the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday

Japan's big Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe contender Orfevre is now likely to have his first important workout at the weekend.

It was a disappointing end to York for the punters,
And a disappointing weekend, but Shea Shea (Cod) went to post in the 5f Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes, Took keen hold, held up in touch in mid-division, headway halfway, chased leaders inside final furlong, strong challenge in 2nd well inside final furlong, not reach winner, just held on for 2nd, beaten ½ l. He gets 24 points.

We start at York on Wednesday where in the 1m 4f group 2 Telescope ( Bob, Peej, Steve, Tony), went to post, Took keen hold tracking  leading pair, challenged going well 3f out, soon led, driven and stayed on strongly final furlong, winning by 1 1/4v l. He gets 22 points.

Today in the 1m 4fGroup 1 Yorkshire Oaks, The Fuge (Steve), went to post, Held up  leading trio, went 3rd over 4f out, closed to 2nd travelling well approaching final 2f, quickened to lead over 1f out, pushed clear final furlong, winning easily by 4l. She gets 56.8 points.

The Think Tank have been looking at ideas for trips and social events. We are planning an afternoon of ten pin bowling followed by a curry ,  another night at the dogs, Cheltenham on 15 November for start of Jumps competition, Cheltenham in March nest year, and hopefully a trip to Germany for racing and the Oktoberfest around the end of September next year.. Any other ideas welcome, dates for bowling and dogs will be announced soon
