High class novice chaser last season, he made his debut at Tattersalls Farm in November 2016, finishing 4^th in a 4y maiden 3m point , beaten 11l by Cool Getaway. He moved across the water to Colin Tizzard and made his rules debut at Chepstow in October 2017, in a 2m novice hurdle, finishing 2^nd, 2l behind Dynamite Dollars,  then was 2 1/4l 2^nd at Newbury in November to Claimantakinforgan.  He got off the mark next time at Newbury, winning a 2m maiden hurdle by 3 ½ l from Admiral Barraty, then was 6^th(last) at Haydock in a grade 2 novice hurdle, 35 ¼ l behind First Flow, then was 7^th at Cheltenham in the Supreme Novice hurdle,  8 ¼ l behind Summerville Boy, and finished the season at Aintree, finishing 2^nd over 2m 4f in the Grade 1 Mersey novice hurdle, beaten ½ l by Black Op. He reappeared at Newbury in October last year, finishing 1 ½ l  2^nd to La Bague Au Roi (received 7lb ) in a 2m 6f Beginners chase, then was 3^rd at the same course in a 2m 4f grade 2 novice chase,  13l behind La Bague Au Roi (received 7lb).  He got off the  mark over fences next time at Cheltenham in January this year, winning a 2m 4f grade novice chase by 1 ¾ l from Defi De Seuil (gave 3lb), then was 2^ND AT Sandown in the 2m 4f grade 1 Scilly isles novice chase,  beaten ¾ l by Defi De Seuil at level weights, then was 2^nd again to the same opponent at Cheltenham in the 2m 4f Grade 1 Golden Miller novice chase, beaten 2 ¼ l at level weights. He finished the season with victory at Aintree beating Topofthegame 6l in the 3m 1f grade 1 Mildmay novice chase.

He should prove competitive in the top staying chases this season.
