Gordon
Elliott may have lost some fire power with the reduction of the Gigginstown
string, but he still has a serious horse in this unbeaten gelding.
He made his
debut at Ballinaboola in February last year, winning a 2m 4f maiden point by
10l from Nearly Perfect. He made his rules debut at Fairyhouse last December,
winning a 2m bumper by 4l from Port Stanley, then followed up 2 weeks later in
a 2m listed bumper, beating Midnight Run 4 ¾ l.
He then won at Leopardstown in February, in a 2m grade 2 bumper, beating
Meticulous 1 ¼ l and finished the season taking the 2m grade 1 Champion bumper
at the Cheltenham Festival, beating Blue Sari ¾ l. He is likely to better at 2m
4f plus, the Ballymore hurdle at Cheltenham the likely long term target. JJ
Codd rode him in all his races and told the punter, he is just a monster of a
horse, 17 hands, what you are going to see from him in the next couple of years
is going to be incredible. He is a lovely jumper and is very exciting.
