An impeccably bred colt, his sire a
Derby winner, the dam an Oaks winner, he could be an outstanding 4 year old. He made his debut as a 2 year old at
Newbury at the back end of October 2015, finishing 6th in a 1m
maiden, beaten 5 ¼ l by Algometer. He reappeared at Leicester in April last
year, finishing 2nd to Imperial Aviator , beaten ½ l over 1m 2f in a
maiden stakes, then stepped up at Newbury in May, winning a 1m 2f maiden by a
taking 8l from New World Power. That earned him a place in the Derby, but he
had a troubled run and was given a n easy time once beaten and finished only 12th
behind Harzand, beaten 23l. He showed up much better at Goodwood in July taking
the group 3 Gordon Stakes over 1m 4f by ½ l from The Major General. He was then
a bit disappointing when only 2nd at Windsor in a 1m 2f group 3,
beaten a short head by Chain of Daisies, and finished the season with a
creditable 4th at Santa Anita in the 1m 4f group 1 Breeders Cup
Turf, beaten 6 ¼ l by Highland Reel. His first Major entry is the Tattersalls
Gold Cup at the end of May.
Trainer Sir M Stoute.
