Lightly
raced having had only 5 starts, but with a trainer who excels with horses as
they get older, he was unraced at 2 and only made his debut last July, winning
a 1m 2f Doncaster maiden by ½ l fromTwobeelucky. He was only 3/1 that day so
had obviously showed plenty at home.
He was next 4th in a 1m 2f Haydock handicap, beaten 4l by
Lord Ben Stack, then in September, was third in a similar event, beaten 11l by
runaway winner Memorial Day. He
finished the season with victory in a 1m handicap at Leicester, beating God
Willing 1 ½ l, and reappeared at Bath recently, finishing 3rd in a
1m handicap, beaten 1l by Oh This Is Us. His shrew trainer should pick up a
decent prize with him this season.
