Interesting gelding who had to be in
the Cod string after a recent win. He seems on an upward curve of late, as his
first 7 runs showed little, but he has won 2 and finished twice in his last 4
runs, and should be a fun horse this season. He was unraced at 2, and made his
debut at the Curragh in June last year, finishing 9th in a 1m
maiden, beaten 20l. He was then 5th at Navan in a 1m 2f maiden,
beaten 3 ¾ l by Intasari, then was 4th (last) at Wexford over 1 1f,
9th at Cork over 1m in an apprentice handicap, then 10th
at Sligo over 1m 2f in a similar event. Dropped in trip, he was 13th
over 6f at the Curragh at the end of August, and finished the season in
September with a5th over 5f at Dundalk, beaten 2 ¼ l by Sassaway.
Reappearing in January this year, in a
5f handicap, he was ¾ l 2nd to Little Sweetheart, then won a 6f
handicap at the same track by 3/4l from Times in Anatefka. He was then 2nd
in a 7f handicap, beaten 1 l by Great Wide Open, then won again, in April at
the Curragh, taking a 6f handicap from Master Speaker.
