News
Ombudsman has taken over at the head of the market for the Coral-Eclipse after stablemate Field Of Gold was ruled out at the confirmation stage for Saturday's Group 1 contest (3.35).

The John and Thady Gosden-trained four-year-old was an impressive winner of the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot and will likely start as favourite for this weekend's feature race, which could see Classic winners Ruling Court and Camille Pissarro take on their elders for the first time.

An entry list of 41 was whittled down to just 11 runners at Monday's confirmation stage, with Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Field Of Gold ruled out in favour of a tilt at the Sussex Stakes on July 30.

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe favourite Sosie remains in contention for trainer Andre Fabre while Camille Pissarro could be joined by Ballydoyle stablemates Expanded and Delacroix, who was sent off favourite for the Derby but finished ninth under Ryan Moore. White Birch and Hotazhell complete the possible Irish contingent.

Almaqam will bid to confirm the form with Ombudsman for trainer Ed Walker, having beaten the market leader in the Brigadier Gerard in May, and Owen Burrows stood his ground with Prince of Wales's second Anmaat
