Top class colt, he made his debut at Oaklawn Park in January, finishing 5th in a 1m ½ f listed stakes, beaten 3 ½ l by Catching Freedom, then over course and distance in February won a maiden by 8l from Just Steel, hen in March over 1m 1f at Oaklawn , was third in the Arkansas Derby, beaten 6 ¼ l by Muth.
He then went to Churchill Downs on 4 May and won the 1m 2f Grade 1 Kentucky Derby by a nose from Sierra Leone. What ever happens from now, he justified his selection.
