Albigna was one of the star juvenile fillies of last season for Jessica Harrington, winning the Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh and the Prix Marcel Boussac at Paris Longchamp before rounding off her campaign by finishing fourth at the Breeders' Cup. The daughter of Zoffany is a best-priced 14-1 for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket - but whether she runs over the Rowley Mile or in the French equivalent in Paris has yet to be decided.
Alan Cooper, racing manager to the Niarchos family, said: "Albigna had a nice break before Christmas and is now back with Jessie and in good form"We'll see how she  progresses in her work and let Jessie decide if she wants to run  in a trial. Obviously Albigna would have a Group One penalty were she to run in a trial, so that is something to consider.
"I think Albigna will be sticking to a mile, "We could think about taking Albigna back to Longchamp for the French Guineas, but it's a little bit too early to be making firm plans."
Albigna made a winning debut at The Curragh in May last year, taking a 6f fillies maiden by a head from Tango, and followed up in a 6f fillies group 2 at Leopardstown in June , beating Precious Moments ½ l. Stepped up to 7f at The Curragh in September in the Group 1 Moyglare stud stakes, she disappointed when only 6th, beaten 2 ½ l behind Love, then won at Longchamp in October taking the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac for fillies over 1mile by 2 ½ l from Marieta, and finished with a respectable 4th at Santa Anita in the 1m group 1 Juvenile fillies turf, beaten 2 ½ l by Sharing.
She sets a high standard for the fillies and should be a major player in all the top fillies races over 1 mile.
