A smart novice chaser he starts on a mark of145 as a result and trainer
Kim Bailey acknowledges that presents some challenges this season.
He made his debut at Ludlow in May 2017, winning a 2m bumper by 4 ½ l
from Inheritance Thief, then in November, over 2m 5f at the same course , won a
novice hurdle by 1l from If You Say Run . He was then second at Doncaster in a
2m 5f novice hurdle, beaten 15 l by Enniscoffey Oscar (received 6lb), then was
5th at Huntingdon in December in a 2m 4f novice hurdle, finishing 15
1/3 l behind Classic Ben (received 3lb).
He reappeared after a break, at Fontwell in April 2018, finishing 3rd
in a 2m 5f novice hurdle, 14 l behind Canelo , then in May, made his chase
debut at Warwick in a 2m 4f novice handicap, finishing 2nd, beaten ¾
l by Sister Sybill (received 3lb), and
finished at Stratford in June, finishing 3rd in a 3m 3f handicap
chase, beaten 18 l by Buachaill Allain, (gave 5lb). He reappeared at Bangor –
on – Dee in October , winning a 3m beginners Chase by 3 ½ l from Molly Childers
(received 7lb), then 2 weeks later at Kelso followed up in a 3m 2f limited
handicap chase, beating Red Giant (received 2lb ) by 13 l. In February this
year he won a 3m novice chase at Ayr by 2 ¼ l from Westland Row ( received
10lb), and finished the season with a creditable second over course and
distance in the 3m novice champion handicap chase, beaten 3 ¼ l by Molly The
Dolly (received 3lb). He will be aimed at al the decent 3m plus handicap
chases, and should pay his way.
