Mayfair has winning spirit at Chelmsford

We start at Chelmsford last Thursday evening, where in the 1m 2f handicap, Mayfair Spirit ( Peej), went to post, Chased leader for over 1f, tracked leaders after, switched right and effort well over 1f out, challenged between rivals inside final furlong, led 75yds out, held on well, winning by a short head. He gets 32.6 points.

On Saturday at The Curragh in the 6f Group 3 Speak in Colours ( Neil), took his chance, Led briefly early until soon joined and headed, close 5th at halfway, took closer order travelling well far side 2f out and improved to lead over 1f out, strongly pressed briefly inside final furlong where ridden, kept on well to assert near finish, winning by 1 ¼ l. He gets 32.8 points.

At Newmarket on Saturday in the 1m 1f Cambridgeshire handicap, Lord North ( Bob), took his chance, Held up, shaken up and headway 2f out, chased leader over 1f out, led well inside final furlong, winning  comfortably by3/4 l. He gets 40 points.

It is a big show down in the Arc on Sunday as Enable tries to make it a hatrick, she faces stiff opposition from a number of rivals including Japan, Ghaiyaath, Waldgeist and Magical.

In the Prix De L’Opera Goddess holds an entry along with Iridessa.

In the Abbaye , Fairyland, Invincible Army, Mabs Cross have entries.

Technician has an entry on Saturday in the group2, Lah Ti Dar is in the group 1 for fillies and mares, Line of Duty and Goddess are in the 1m 2f group 2 and Line of Duty is also entered in the 1m group2.
