It only took until the 2nd race at Newmarket to get the competition under way as Mabs Cross ( Cliff), went to post in the 5f group 3, Held up towards rear, headway approaching final furlong, ridden and ran on strongly to lead final strides, winning by a neck. She gets 43.2 points.
In the 1m group 1 2000 guineas Magna Grecia ( Cliff, Neil, Tony), took his chance, tracked stand side leader, ridden to lead over 1 out, stayed on strongly, winning by 2 ½ l. He gets 56 points
In the 1m 2f listed stakes UAE Jewel ( Bob), went to post, Keen, soon tracked leader, led 3f out, hung right 2f out, ridden approaching final furlong, ridden out, winning by ¾ l. He gets 27.4 points
On Monday at the Curragh Magical ( Bob, Cod, Steve, Tony), took her chance in the 1m 2f group 2 stakes, Chased leader in 2nd, travelling smoothly and closed under 3f out, challenged 2f out, soon pushed along, led over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong, winning by 1 ½ l . She gets 21.1 points.
