2018/19 Jumps Profile - Ones that didn't make it

This is a new section and will have horses that either the editor has written up in anticipation of them being in some strings, or who are withdrawn from strings through injury. The two below are injured, sadly for Neil, Our Valentina has had to be retired

A uselful mare who has always looked a chaser, she goes over fences this season and could progress higher up the rankings, particularly in the mares events. Her first win came in April 2017 at Navan in a 2m mares maiden hurdle, where she beat Reine Des Pres 1/2l, and her other victory was at Carlisle last December in a 2m 4f mares handicap hurdle, when she beat Paper Roses a head. She finished last season with 2 good 2nd paces, at Carlisle in March this year, in a 2m 1f mares handicap hurdle, beaten 5l by Pixiepot, (received 9lb), then when beaten just a neck (receiving 10lb), by Naranja in a 3m mares handicap hurdle. She should give Neil and his partners more fun this season.

Tony has a share in this lightly raced horse who made his debut in a maiden point to point at Monksgrange in March 2017, finishing 3rd, beaten 12l behind Madison To Monroe, then in October filled the same position in a similar race at Lough Rea, again beaten 12l, this time behind Rath An Luir.He then won at Loughbrickland, beating Rathill 12l, in November 2017, and subsequently moved to Willie Mullins. He made his rules debut at Gowran Park in  March this year , winning a 2m 2f bumper by 9l from Presenting Well, then was a disappointing 6th at Fairyhouse in a similar race in April over 2m, beaten 97 l behind Getaway John, and finished the season with a 7th at Punchestown in another 2m bumper, beaten 33 ½ l behind Dunvegan. He will go over hurdles, and a step up in trip should help him
