We start at Maisons – laffitte last Thursday
where in the 1m 6f conditions stakes, Rabdan ( Cod, Tony),
took his chance, sent off odds on favourite he won easily by 9l, and still has
time to make his mark at a much higher level. He
gets 11.7 points.
On Saturday at Ascot in the 1m 4f Group 1
King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth stakes, Crystal
Ocean ( Martin), took his chance,
Tracked leading pair, led on outside going well 2f out, ridden over 2 lengths
clear over 1f out, stayed on gamely, headed towards finish, 2nd
beaten a neck. He gets 24 points.
On Tueday at Goodwood in the 2m Group 1
Goodwood Cup, Stradavarius ( Neil, Steve, Tony), took his chance, Steadied
start and held up in touch in mid-division, closed from 4f out, went 2nd 3f
out, ridden 2f out, led and edged right 1f out, stayed on well, just pushed out
towards finish, winning by ½ l. He gets 26.6
points.
Yesterday in the 1m Group 1 Sussex Stakes Expert Eye ( Steve)
went to post, Prominent, led over 2f
out, headed inside final furlong, not pace of winner, finishing 2nd
beaten 1 ½ l. He gets 24 points.
Today at Goodwood in the 1m 2f Group 1 Nassau Stakes, Wild Illusion ( Cliff,
Peej), took her chance, made all quickend 3
out, out, stayed on strongly from
1 out, never challenged,winning by
2l. She gets 55 points.
