Has looked an extremely smart miler
this season, and very much on an upward curve. Unraced at 2, he made his debut
at Newbury last May in a 7f maiden, finishing 4th, beaten 3 l by
Almoreb, then a month later won a 1m maiden at Haydock by ½ l from Mutarabby.
He followed up at Ascot in a 1m handicap in July, beating Juanito Chico a neck,
then in August was 3rd at Goodwood, in a 1m 2f handicap, beaten 2 ¾
l by Good Omen. He finished the season, winning the 1m 1f Cambridgeshire
handicap at Newmarket by ½ l from Afaak.
He reappeared at Doncaster in March, winning the 1m
Lincoln handicap by an impressive 2 ¾ l from Lord Glitters, then followed up in
a 1m group 2 at Sandown beating Stormy Antarctic 2 ¾ l, again visually
impressive. He should win plenty more races, but so far nearly all his wins
have had the word soft in the going, and as a Pivotal, would not want a hot dry
summer.
