The Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar on November 4 was initially nominated as Ulysses' target following his York success, but Stoute has confirmed he may now stop off in France on October 1 on the way to his American date.
He told The Punter : "The Arc is very possible and we're aiming for that at the moment.
"The Breeders' Cup is not until five weeks after the Arc, so there's plenty of time between both races."

Limato is likely to defend his crown in the Prix de la Foret at Chantilly next month.
Henry Candy's five-year-old claimed his second Group One success in the seven-furlong contest last autumn, having dominated his rivals in the July Cup at Newmarket earlier in the year.
Talaayeb could return to the top table for the first time since finishing fourth in the 1000 Guineas if she is given the go-ahead for the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on October 7.
