Highly progressive horse, he raced 3
times at 2, winning on his 2nd start, a 7f maiden at Yarmouth in
August 2013, beating Epic Voyage 2 ½ l.
He got off the mark on his 4th
run as a 3 year old, winning a 1m 3f listed stakes at Hamilton by 3 ½ l from
Double Bluff, then stepped up in class, won the group 2 Voltigeur stakes over 1m 4f at York, beating Snow
Sky 2 ½ l. That was his last run as a 3 year old and he reappeared last year at
Sandown in April in a 1 m 2f group, finishing ¾ l 2nd to Western
Hymn, then was 3rd at the Curragh to Al Kazeem , beaten 1/4l in the
group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup, over 1m 2f. He was then a slightly disappointing
3rd at Royal Ascot in the 1m 4f group 2. Beaten 3 ¾ l by Snow Sky,
then returned to Ascot a month later to claim his first group 1 victory,
landing the 1m 4f King George and Queen Elizabeth 11 stakes by a nose from
Eagle Top. He then went to Longchamp and took a 1m 4f group 2 by ¾ l from
Spiritjim. He reappeared at Meydan , now in the care of Roger Varian, and won a
1m 4f group 2 in March this year by 3l from Dariyan, and then landed the group
1 1m 4f Dubai Sheema Classic by an
impressive 2l from Duramente. He sets a high bench mark in the middle distance
races this season.
