Classy colt, and still lightly raced,
and is expected to make his mark in the top middle distance events this season.
He was always considered more backward than stable mate Golden horn last season, but still posts very
smart form. He just managed a run
as a two year old, winning a Wolverhampton maiden by 3l from Dutch Uncle on 27
th December 2014, then reappeared at Sandown the following April and won a 1m 2f handicap by an impressive 12l
from Rotherwick, a performance that showed he was a group horse in racing.
Stepped up in class to group 2 company, he ttook on Golden Horn in the 1m 2f
Dante Stakes, finishing 2nd beaten 2 ¾ l and then in the 1m 4f Group
1 Derby at Epsom, was again 2nd to Golden Horn, beaten 3 ½ l. He
then won the 1m 4f group 1 Irish Derby at the Curragh, beating Storm The Stars
5l, then took a 1m 4f group 3 at Kempton in September beating Sweeping Up 3 ¾
L. and finished with a creditable 3rd in the 1m 2f group 1 middle
distance stakes on Champions day at Ascot, 1 ¾ l behind Fascinating Rock
