Very
smart chaser who has won 5 of his 20 starts. He made four appearances in France
without winning before joining Alan King in the summer of 2010, and he made a
winning debut at Newbury that November, taking a 2m 1 f Juvenile hurdle by 27
l, beating Dolatoulu (gave 10 lb), the 1- 4 f. He was then 3rd at Chepstow, but resumed winnng
ways in February 2011, taking a 2m novice hurdle at Wincanton by 2 ¼ l from
Jump City. He then ran 10th at the Festival in the Triumph Hurdle
finishing 11l behind Zarkandar, and was put away for the season. He reappeared
at Ascot in January 2012, winning a 2m 3f limited handicap hurdle by 7l, giving
6lb to runner up Shoreacres, then was second over course and distance to Bourne
in a handicap, before returning to Cheltenham in March where he was 8 ¾ l third
to Big Bucks in the 3m Grade 1 World Hurdle. He then went to Aintree where he
unseated. Reappearing at Wetherby in November 2012, he was 24 ½ l third to
Tidal Bay in a 3m 1 f grade 2hurdle, then was 14 l Second to Reve De Sivola in
the 3m 1f Grade 1 Long Walk hurdle at Ascot in December. He was again third in
the World Hurdle at the Festival, 5 ½ l behind Solwhit, and filled the same
place in the Grade 1 3m Aintree hurdle, but got a length closer. Sent over
fences last season, he appeared at Huntingdon in November where he unseated in
a Novice Chase, but got off the
mark over 3 at Exeter in a similar event beating Ardkilly Witness 7l. He
followed up at Newbury in a similar event in February, beating Sam Winner 2l,
and then ran second to O’Faolains Boy in the RSA chase at the festival, beaten
just a neck. He is due to reappear in the Hennessey at Newbury in November and
should win his share of races at least but could well end up in the Gold Cup in
March.
