Progressive 6 year old, who had one run in France, winning a 2m 2f
conditions hurdle at Auteuil, before coming to the UK. He made a winning debut here at Plumpton
in January 2012, beating Jodawes 8l, and followed up at Ascot taking a 2m
Juvenile hurdle by 11l from Brilliant Barca. He followed up in a 2m novice hurdle at the same course in February,
beating Captain Sunshine 7l, then fell in the Triumph hurdle at the
Festival, and unseated at
Punchestown in the 4 year old Champion hurdle . He was third to Zarkandar at Wincanton on his reappearance ,
then won at Haydock in November 2012, taking a 2m conditions hurdle by 6l from
Hollow Tree. He was then
disappointing, 16th at Asxcot in a Listed handicap, 8th
at Ffos Las in February 2013, in
another 2m limited handicap, and finishing 8 ½ l third at Wincanton again behind Zarkandar, before
unseating at Cheltenham, in the Champion Hurdle. Sent to Plumpton for a confidence
booster at the end of March he was only 5th in a handicap hurdle,
and was kept on the go during the summer, finishing 5th at Kempton
in a 1m 4f maiden in September, then 4th at Leicester in a similar
event , 5 ¼ l behind Hassle. He resumed his winter Career in October last year,
winning a 2m 3f novice chase by 3/4l from the Romford Pele, then continued his dreadful Cheltenham
record by falling in a 2m novice chase won by Dark Lover. He then won at Warwick taking a 2m
novice chase by 11 l from Baby Mix, and was 5th in a 2m grade 1
novice chase at Sandown, 22l behind Hinterland in December. He went back to Warwick in February
this year, beating Brick Red 3 ½ l
in a grade 2 , 2m novice chase, then followed up at Kempton in a 2m 4f grade 2
novice chase beating God’s Own 1 1/4l. He missed Cheltenham last season, going
to Aintree to win the 2m grade 1 Maghull novice chase by 4l from Simply Ned,
then was 3rd at Punchestown in the 2m Grade 1 novice chase, beaten ½
l by God’s Own. Alan King said they got the tactics wrong that day, taht he
hopes his a Queen Mother horse, which takes a leap of faith given his
Cheltenham record, but he should win top class 2m chases this season.
Trainer A King.
