News
Tom Marquand is counting down the days until Royal Ascot with Economics and retains full faith his star will be this year's leading light of the middle-distance division.
Four-time Derby winner Ryan Moore will partner Delacroix in the £1.5 million Classic at Epsom on Saturday, it was confirmed on Wednesday, but 2,000 Guineas winner Ruling Court is challenging for favouritism after receiving a low draw.
While Godolphin’s Classic hero Ruling Court was drawn in seven, his four closest rivals in the betting, Delacroix (14), Pride Of Arras (16), The Lion In Winter (19) and Damysus (15), are all in double-figure stalls after 19 were declared. It will be the biggest field since Kris Kin won in 2003.
