The unbeaten Palace Pier and stablemate Waldkonig have both been ruled of next month's Investec Derby by connections.
Kingman colt Palace Pier stretched his unbeaten record to three with another deeply impressive display at Newcastle on Saturday but Thady Gosden, son and assistant trainer to John Gosden, has insisted Epsom is not on the cards with races over a mile initially on his radar before any thought is given to stepping up in distance.
Similarly, stablemate Waldkonig has also been ruled out of the Derby picture having had his bubble burst somewhat when turned over at short odds at Newmarket.
Another son of Kingman, Waldkonig had previously marked himself down as a horse for the future when making a facile winning debut at Woverhampton in December but Gosden jnr is again keen to stress that his future won't be over middle distances.
He said: "I think Palace Pier will be a miler. One day he could be a mile-and-a-quarter horse, but at the moment definitely a mile.
"We don't see him as a Derby horse at all, I'm not sure where that came from, it's the same with the horse who was beaten yesterday, Waldkonig, they are both by Kingman."
Roger Varian told the punter "Fooraat put up a classy performance at Chelmsford and all the options are on the table for her, including at Royal Ascot, where there is the Coronation Stakes.
"We'll get her home first. It's nice as she's a daughter of Nahrain who was the first Group One winner we had."
Siskin tops 11 contenders for Friday’s Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh. Jessica Harrington’s five-length maiden winner Free Solo also features,
Saeed Bin Suroor spoke to the Punter after the 2000 guineas, about Military March, "Military March needs a mile and a half and the Guineas was a good race for him before the Derby," Bin Suroor said on Monday. "He is doing well and we're happy with him.
"He was a little bit fresh before the Guineas but has always worked well on the watered gallop in Newmarket. He should be more settled now and he'll be ready for the race."
Headman could attempt to open his account at Group One level in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot next week.
The mile-and-a-quarter prize is under consideration as a possible starting point for the Roger Charlton-trained four-year-old.
Last season's Queen Anne winner Lord Glitters will not return to the scene of his stunning Group 1 success this month, with trainer David O'Meara revealing his stable star is recovering from a setback.
